The head bolts that you have to do up thru the valley windows suck big time.. Having to lift the lifters up to get at the bolts, was on the last one and didnt realise id pulled lifter out of its hole and the F ing nut fell down it... I had made sure the lifter wasnt totally out its hole on all the others. Thought i was doomed, then put a magnet down the hole and out it came with the nut...

Id have it up n running tomorrow but no point in it really. Covid lock down starts tonight, 6 weeks and can only leave the house for food, medical needs, the essentials. Have already been in semi lockdown for 3 weeks. Basically only had covid cases in quarantine under guard, but the guards were bangin the ladies ,sharin smokes , and now we are up to 700 cases a day...
so is it a 99.6% survival rate there as it is here in USA?

Its the same as everywhere else.
It's just a ******* scam.
There are 240 deaths in a population of 25 million and it's a pandemic is it?
It's so deadly that you need to be tested to even know you have it?
Why would they send you home for 14 days quarantine to recover? Shouldn't you be in an isolated hospital wing if the risk is so great?
All fear ****.
It's really pissing me off.

Mick with your heads and compression I would have spec’ed a 7 plug, but if the 6’s (a step hotter than the 7) have been Reading ok, then run them. Could be the fuel difference between us.

I was thinking about trying a 7. I have upped comp from 11.6 to 12.3 and with you saying a 7 i think its worth trying .
does e85 come into play in regards to plugs?

E85 burns cleaner than gas, so there isn't as much need to keep the plug hot. A switch to E85 can sometimes mean running a bit leaner/hotter, so a cooler plug can be tolerated. So there is a reasonable train of thought to think about heat range of plugs and e85. I’ve never ran e85, so I can’t speak from experience here, only theory.

Ill try the 7s and do the usual after 1st start. Get it up to temp, switch off ,check lash, let it cool, check oils, check plugs, if all good go do some street tuning.
1st start will be end of next week, i have to get oils, plugs delivered. Im looking forward to seeing the difference with the new cam. I was at 667rwhp and my goal has been 674 rwhp.
Ill be dissapointed if i dont hit it.

I run the non projected 7's on 13:1 compression E85 deal and its been working good. Switch to the 9's on spray. https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=9538

I saw a 4hp loss on the dyno swapping from 6s to 7s. I ran 7s and there was no noticeable difference over the 6s. I would use the 7s just to be on the safe side.
