It’s suppose to be better than the LS1. I cant find any dyno numbers on that thou. I did find:
LS1 vs. fast +20 hp http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f213/l...umbers-398693/
Truck vs. fast +34hp http://www.superchevy.com/technical/...ake/index.html
Truck vs. TBSS +15hp http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...d.php?t=455536
These are not the same engine be any means but, should make as much hp as the LS1 with more torque. In any case it should be a ton better than what we got now.
Its cathedral port. But yeah the it might not fit, hell the hood might not close? That is one big ugly SOB.

No go.
I modified the alternator bracket, but now its hitting the power steering line. I may modify the power steering pump? IDK? I think I’ll wire up the TB 1st and see if I can get that working. Oh the wiring harness needed a little tlc, and the hood liner will need to come off, but that big ugly somabitch actually looks good under the hood. Fills up the engine bay nicely.

Crap no. I was going to get a pic of both intakes setting next to each other and I was going to get a pic of it under the hood. I got sidetracked with the power steering pump, and put everything together before I grabbed the camera. Next time I’ll try to get a standard truck intake and see if it fits with out modifying the power steering pump. I think with the acceptation of modifying the alternator bracket, the truck intake would be bolt on.

A little more info on the truck intakes.

It appears to me that at wide open throttle (WOT), the truck/LS6/FAST all better the HP and torque of the LS1 through most of the operating range. Further, it appears that the truck and the LS6 hang right in there with the FAST until around 430 HP and a bit over 5,000 RPM’s. Then the FAST and LS6 begin to ease away from the truck manifold. The LS6 pretty well keeps pace with the FAST manifold for a few hundred RPM's and a few more HP before the FAST manifold eases away from the LS6. HP is directly related to mass air flow and I believe that that is mainly what we are seeing borne out here.

Hooked up the TB and logged with Hptuners
ETC Position----------TB90-25% 50% 76% 100% / LS4 TB-25% 50% 76% 100%
ETC TPS 1--------TB90-3.43V 2.45V 1.53V 0.59V / LS4 TB-3.51V 2.57V 1.55V 0.59V
ETC TPS 2--------TB90-1.55V 2.53V 3.45V 4.41V / LS4 TB-1.45V 2.37V 3.41V 4.37V
Throttle Position (SAE)-TB90-31% 51% 69% 88% / LS4 TB-30% 49% 69% 88%
Looks good I need to order a 6 pin connector now.

I think the truck intake is a good option. It matches really well to turbocharging because it boosts torque before the turbo kicks in and you generally don't rev turbo motors to the moon. Are you going to move the power steering pump (reservoir)?

Same pump I am using now. It is very noisy and sounds like a supercharger at low rpm's
I have bleed the system twice and then had the dealership replace the cooler lines and they bleed it. Still noisy.
That intake is going to kick butt down low for what you are doing. I am really exited about that TB.

Well I got the intake bolted on. Its still hitting the intake tube on the power steering pump. The hood closes but hits on the brace. I’ve ground a lot off the intake but still hits. And the wiring harness is going to need a lot of work. I really cant see anyone else doing this? But TB on a LS6 or the Edelbrock intake would be nice.
