I think.. if anyone remembers afew months ago my car out of no where started to backfire, hesitate, stumble, and just plane ol' run like ****! i had pulled and replaced my opti and double checked my new msd coil, and wires. but still the problem endured. i hadnt had any time in the past month to figure it out. until tonight when i pulled off my passenger side valve cover to find this...

yeah man i hope this does it! ive been through everything 3 times over! 2 sets of plus, 2 sets of wires, pulled my fuel pump, checked fuel psi everything was fine i wouldnt figure it out until that lol
i know im thankful as ******* hell that i didnt blow a hole through a piston!
they actually do sell just one spring its like $13 from summit. im probably going to replace just the one spring then when i save up the cash get the patriot spring kit. ive heard alot of people run them with no problems

I'll make sure I never buy comp cams Beehive series springs.
Thanks for the Warning
Comps prices are out of site they should replace the whole set for free.
Send them a photo and a link to this page I am interested to see if they even reply.
I mean 7k mls lol
B&B Exhaust never even replied to a letter I sent them.
Like alot of people I want to deal with a reputable manufacture and at the price of Horsepower these days I don't think thats unreasonable
Bon

Call Comp. They are a great company to deal with. There was a bad batch of them a few years ago, you may have received those. If so they will take care of it and replace all of them.
I personally would skip over the Patriots and go for some PACs myself if you are gonna change it up.

thanks for the replys guys. im happy i found the problem as wellit was driving me F#cking Insane! atleast with a busted spring like that i can actually see the problem lol. i would like to get the engine up and running again but ill wait till i save up enough and buy a full new set. or should i just run the PAC springs? could i reuse all the hardware that i have for my 918's??
actully 2 of them did but i chamfered the bottom of it with a file and it solved that one. but it wasnt happening to my #8 rockers
why wouldnt you run the patriot springs?? ive heard only great things about them, unless you have a bad personal experience with them ?

I just went to the Patriot Gold Extremes, my beehives ( LE2 heads ) were letting a lifter jump off the cam, bend the spider, and make a racket. I replaced the beehives, lifters, and spider put it back together and let her run again. The motor feels much better up top and pulls till I shift it, the limiter is set at 6900.
