What cam and can you show a vido of your entire engine setup with the 24x system?
Thanks, the cam is a custom grind 234/240 107LSA HR.
It's specific to my build and preferences. Most people would like more duration and overlap.
My previous 236/248 104LSA HR was extremely gnarly but really didn't suit my needs
(See https://ls1tech.com/forums/14710794-post14.html)
although it would have been a lot easier to tame with the LS1 PCM.

Sure, I can make a vid. Is there something specific you want to see?
I've posted pics of pretty much everything.

Good stuff James the car sounds awesome! I'm pretty sure you'll be able to turn that 11.89 into a 10.89. Good job man!

The goal was to hit mid/high 10s on the motor without gutting the car.
It'll handle a decent shot of N20, but since I failed to set the rings up with that in mind,
I'll probably look at a 200HP direct-port setup next season.

Mostly, I just want to be able to cruise around in it and run it own the strip a few times this year.
The odometer has been at 61k since 2007

No problem, I should have the cable I need to apply new tunes later this week.
I'll share the results as we progress though the tuning process.
Overall, the 24x works as described and is relatively easy to install.
I started a thread to discuss tips and tricks, but didn't get many responses.
Thread -> https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...tions-kit.html

I'm also trying to find an AFPR that works with the 93 rail;
I want to see if increased pressure improves atomization.
It sounds like my options are limited to modifying the stock FPR or installing AN fittings.
I don't like either option.

At the same time, I'm installing a pair of wideband sensors to help with
the tune and so I have a view of what is going on on street and at the track.

I geuss it's about time I provide an update on this one.

I spent a lot of time looking for leaks, but never found anything significant.
I also went to a Holley 58mm TB to see if it would work better than the BBK design.
I did find an AFPR that worked with stock lines, so the mailorder tune is set up for 60psi and works well.

Replacing the O2s with genuine GM sensors helped a lot.
Installing a MAF actually calmed the car down enough to make it driveable.
I installed the 4l60e a few months back and replaced the old tires so it would pass an inspection.
I'd like to run a MAF for street manners, but I'm not sure if I can make it work with the ram air box without hacking it up.

I have a set of brand new Kooks stainless 1.875"x1.75" headers that I want to install before I dynotune it.
The old Hooker/Jethots are rusted pretty bad.

It's more an issue of finding time to do anything anymore than it is technical problems.
When I started this project, I had two small pre-school aged boys; now I have 4 kids, two of which are in school, sports, scouts and everything else.
The car is low on the priority list.

Nice build. And I can relate to your situation. Family commitments has put the car low in my priority list as well. I will be racing again soon, one day, lol.

They closed KCIR earlier this year. Once I finish dyno tuning, I'll have to travel to Topeka, MoKan or St Louis to race.
Not ideal for test/tune sessions, but ok for for an occasional race day.

The car will probably see a lot more street toy time than it will drag racing.

The last time I raced was December, 2007. I was still on an H/C 350 back then.

Good to see you back around these parts James. Hopefully you'll get some free time soon to bring it down to the track.

Just about every suspension/chassis part I have, including the K member is from Spohn.

Me too, I hope to schedule a tuning session to make it more driveable in the next week or two.
It's going to mean a road trip though, no one around here seems willing to tune a setup like this.
I'll be sure to share the results.

I need to get my new headers on first.

Got the car dyno tuned Tuesday. Something's still not right.
It is a lot more driveable though

Although, it really reminded me of when I dyno tuned the previous cam

461rwhp @ 6000rpm ...
Lockup didn't seem to have an impact this time around though, I'll have to make sure it's even working.
If that is the case, those numbers aren't bad at all.

At the very least, maybe I just need to line up with a 420rwhp fbody and see how I do.

It does show pretty rich on the graph, doesn't it?

The car made more power at 12.5:1 than it did at 13:1
I didn't notice that we ended up even further, but I confirmed with my wideband today that I run richer than 11:1 under heavy throttle.
Maybe the fact that it runs better rich (or what seems like rich) is a symptom of something else.

I was planning on changing the plugs out now that it's tuned and running a leak-down while I am under there.
