I can understand that.

I was working on an idea in my head about a 'remote mount' GEN III/IV TB, but it just wouldn't work out :\ Too much weight and the only really feasible option to use would be the fly-by-wire TB then.

Shame, since those TBs can be pretty nice flowing. Too bad the plenum couldn't be more of a square like the GM RamJet, which uses that design TB.

I'm not a big money guy with a race engine spinning 6500+. I'm very excited to hear that most of the gains so far are below the 6000 mark. I also hope you are able to modify the height so that we dont have to ditch the wiper mount and cut the cowl.

Its been said before but, its worth repeating.... While most of the community has headed toward LSx's your out there making a better LTx part, so thank you!

What's the deal with this?
Is it getting any closer?
I'm still waiting on the results, and a ported LT4 version...

^^ to answer you : post #121 on page 7, GGPC mentioned that all their HSR intakes are sold or are for other projects and it wont be till december till holley can get them more HSR's at whatever price they had negotiated. So.. you figure, after the holidays we'll probably hear more about these...

Oops, I guess I did read that but forgot about it!!!
I guess it's my selective memory at work again, oh well I hope this works out and adds a very nice/affordable LTx intake manifold to the market.

We're supposed to take shipment of the HSRs December 9th. We'll hold a couple for the testing cause just about all of them have been sold already.

I'm really on the edge of my seat for this thing, it should really help me get to 800+whp. I have gotten to just over 750 running out of fuel so far.

This is a possibility also. 90mm LS style TB should require sam a mount of fab work for the intake bolt holes don't know about height though Art

Interesting. I've never seen that before. (EDIT: haha OK So I have actually. Was googling for info comparing the XT to Stealth Ram and came upon a thread by T/A Kid where I actually replied and comments on it! Hurray for bad memory!) Wonder how it compares to the Stealth Ram (SR), performance wise. That would sure save a ton of time and money for GGPC for customers who want it to be Air Gapped. Looks pretty much the same as the Stealth, which I assume was Edel's reason for making it heh. Yet, if it performs anything like their LT1/4 intake In my googling, I did come up with the XT being smog legal compared to the SR. If factory rails could be modified to work (minor re-tubing via possibly taping out the rails for AN lines or something of the sort), would be nice for someone to test out

BUT Holley has stepped up to supply GGPC with intakes for their project, so I wouldn't want them to do away with the SR. Maybe test the XT and see what it can offer as an alternative to the SR. For example, more HP but a bit less TQ, higher RPM range, or even just more TQ and less HP for the B-Body or heavy vehicles with LT1 swaps.

it looks smaller on the top maybe easier to fit under the cowl. down side is not being able to get to the runners as easy as the SR.
I wonder if we could combine this intake with the LS1 pcm retrofit for a signal to the LS1 pcm through a dizzy. Art

I like that intake, it has 6inch runners (same as stealthram) its an airgap design, would fit better, and I would put a massive 100-105mm TB to help out with any type of plenum volume (still looks like a lot more than out LTX intakes). I am sure there is some material to be taken out as well. Never picked up a stealthram but they look heavy, and there a 2 peice design which I would prefer a 1 peice design. Good thing is you can run a Stock style LTx TB.

GGPC where are you located? We are in Glen Burnie not far from Hanover. We have access to alot of LT1 stuff you might be interested in for testing purposes.

We are in the middle of a LT1 build right now that we are looking for intake manifold choices for the final product, and right now it would suite what your looking for in a stock LT1 testbed as well. If you were interested, we could test intake as GM delivered it, and on top of the 409" engine we are doing for it when that goes in. We need power up to 6700-7000 rpm with the manifold we are looking for the final product.

We also have a 6 speed cam only LT1 thats making right near 350 to the wheels if information from that setup would be helpfull for you as well. Small cam, customers always looking for more midrange, and 3" LTx runners dont cut it.
