Default B&M Ripper or Pro 5.0?

If you have one of the two, do you like it? I am trying to decide which to get...

I have the b&m ripper... i would like to try out the 5.0 and see what the difference is cause i have always wondered the same thing. My ripper is alot shorter than stock, and it makes the shifting more of a race feel, but ive heard good things about the 5.0 so i think you're good either way. Im probably gonna buy the 5.0 and just have both of them.

Ive heard nothing but good things about the 5.0. Ive felt it a couple times and I like the notchyness of it. Deffinitely does give you a race feel. But Ive heard a couple people rave about the B&M over the 5.0

I hope to have a 5.0 very soon

whats angeled on the stick? Anyone have a Lou's short stick and how good is it? Im looking on www.afterthoughtsauto.com and they have a pretty good deal for a Pro5.0 and a Lou's short stick for $215. Is there any other good short stick out there for cheaper? ws6store.com has just the pro5.0 for only $169

Yes, www.byunspeed.com has UMI short sticks for $27 shipped. I bought one for my stock hurst and love it. It is angled perfectly and about 1/3 shorter than my stock stick. Everyone on here that has one seems to love it too.

Pro 5.0 and I love it.

Only problem I have is that I have a tapped Cobra shift **** on it and it rattles like Hell.

Swapping it off for a screw on Hurst or SLP **** and it should be fine.

I have the B&M Ripper, and I haven't a complaint about it. I know when I was in the market for a shifter I had the same questions, I just chose one, and went with it, really for no rhyme or reason. My advice for you is to try one, if you like it, get it. They are both top notch.

I got a Pro 5.0 with a LSS from www.afterthoughtsauto.com and love it. It's steardy as hell and the shifts are solid and precise. I have heard other people say that if your into drag racing the 5.0 is probably better for you, if your into road racing the B&M would probably suit you better. I don't know I've never used the B&M but I prefer drag racing and really like the 5.0.

Pro 5.0 here, went from the stock shifter and would never look back. It shifts great and quick, but yeah it does make alot more noise but i deal with it. Just ordered an LSS for it and will be installing it soon as i recieve it.

The stick is straight coming off the shifter, for about half the distance of the stick, then it has a bend in it which angles the other half of the stick towards the driver. The stick is short as hell, to boot.

What advantage is there between having the straight short stick or an angled one? Does it help the shifts more or is it just a personal prefference for comfort?
