That does sound very impressive. So the ion is indeed the same chassis and everything?? Does it perform the same as the cobalt. I do like the looks of those ion's and you did get a steal for under 8 g's. I guess I have never looked into the cobalt much yet. The styling isn't quite there for me. Then again I thought you had to have the whale tail for a spoiler to have the supercharger.

haha! I have had my Camaro started a few times in the last few weeks, let it run for 10 or 15 minutes. I pulled it out of the garage yesterday, went around a few blocks, put it back in & realized something. That thing is borderline annoying!!! It seemed so over the top loud & obnoxious.
Good thing the snow is coming back, I don't have to worry about it for a while.

I still vote for the Cobalt SS, and remove the spoiler. or a C5.
and Josh, sry the pics are old... I looked on my computer and I have over 30gigs of pictures... 98 percent are car pics Mostly of my own current and past cars, along with alot of friends cars. I probably have about 100 pics or more of yours A few of Mikes, Padgets, and so on.

The Redlines are just a little bit heavier because they are a quad door car which is nice for getting in and out of the back. Mines got the 6-disc changer, sunroof, recaros, and is just a nice little DD for me. Oh yeah, the wing came off the minute I pulled into my garage lol. Replaced it with a normal low-rise spoiler.
I prefered the looks of the Cobalt over the Ion, but for the price I couldn't pass it up.

Problem solved?
Rodney, I didn't know you guys have an STS. My girlfriend loves hers, she has a 2000, Dark Green with black leather, loaded. We bought it with 140k on it, and now, 2 years later, it has over 165k on it. Gets about 24mpg highway with her driving about 80mph the whole time. Plus she beat up on an old 69 Nova once leaving Porky's. Since she has it, she never wants to have anything with less power. The only thing i've had to do was the crank sensors, but now its throwing a TCC code, and the drivers heated seat no longer works. It uses some oil, and uses some coolant, but not bad at all.

Yeah Nate. We just bought it here a few months ago. It also uses a little oil, but not a drop of coolant. I have replaced alot of stuff on ours, because I planned to drive it untill the wheels fell off, but now it isnt going to happen. I also just listed it on auto trader so hope it sells here. I dont think it is priced too badly.

Those turbo cobalts put up some good times too. I think there are some 13 second 1/4m ones that are stock. And in that test I think in motor trend or R&T, it was a 4 door version that had the quickest time around their track. I would assume 2 doors are lighter. And the Recaro seats are a badass touch, makes me jealous they did think of that idea earlier.

It's no Saturn but ford release the torque curve and some numbers for the Taurus SHO. I'm not a brand loyalist but to say the least it's impressive. Twin Turbo AWD 365hp and looks nice.

Yeah Rodney, thats not a bad price at all, My G/F paid right around 8k for hers, granted that was almost 2 years ago. Still that price is a steal.
Those cobalts are pretty damn impressive for what they are, I read that article yesterday actually the 4 door cobalt version vs. an 09 WRX, mazdaspeed 3, Volkswagen GTI. The WRX had the best 1/4 mile time. The cobalt was just about on par with the WRX in the 1/4, but it was the fastest around the track, by quite a bit. but they picked the GTI because they liked the interior the best. If I remember right, the Cobalt got the best mileage out of all of them too.
Nate.

I've decided to keep the car, but don't plan on using nitrous anytime in the near future.
If anyone is interested I have a mother bottle with about 50 pounds of nitrous in it, stand, lines, filter, and valve for filling station for sale. I have taken less than one ten pound bottle full of nitrous out of the tank. I'd like to get $150 picked up for all of it that is less than the nitrous alone would cost.
Here is a pic:

The two little bottles are already sold so please don't ask for those.

Did anyone here get the latest summit racing catalog? I was looking through a buddies at work and it advertised 10% off all summit racing products. I was interested in the summit stars drag wheels. I was wondering if the price on the internet is the same price as in the catalog as I don't remember what the catalog had for a price. The internet site doesn't specify them being on sale either. Thanks for any info.
