I'd go, if there were a few other guys willing to make the trip. It is right about 200 miles to the track, it is an easy drive...We'd be coming back in the dark though...
Better bring your scarf/mittins and a shovel if you want to drive down there this weekend

Garage is at.
5851 nw 54th ct Johnston, IA. 50131
If you are familiar with Johnston area, pretty easy to find, but...
I-80 to Merle Hay road exit. Between the two mix masters. Head North on Merle Hay for a little over a mile. You will see a church on the right side of the road. (St. James) Turn right onto 57th street. Go to the stop sign. Turn left. Its about the 7th house in, on the right, Its across the street from a open field, and you will probably see My TA, the Iroc, and the Monte, in the front yard. Just park in the yard, or driveway if there is room, Parents don't care about the yard.

Everything is a go for Saturday the 1st.
I won't work that saturday so what time do you guys want to meet up. Have to be semi resonable, I know Rodney has like a 2 hour drive

The only thing I will say is, no burnouts, there is a grouchy bastard down the road who likes to always call the cops. yet 2 doors down the other way has like 4 corvettes, go figure.

Josh- I'll have a chair reserved for ya.

Sounds like a plan. I am familiar with the area so it will be no problem for me to find. Time doesn't matter to me. Whenever Rodney can get his *** there . We going to go out later that night for some beers then?

I agree with the snow. It wont stay around long though. Supposed to be back in the 40's by the weekend. I just hope it is nice enough on the 1st to get the car out for the install party, haha.

Sounds good Rodney. We could shoot for 10 or so if that is cool with everyone. Just so people (me) have some time to sleep in a bit, haha. Nah, it doesn't matter. Whenever everyone wants to meet up is cool with me.

Well, I was hoping a few while doing the install, but 10 might be early for that, especially that early after a Friday night. I hopefully/should make it. Im going to have to mapquest the house location.

Drove my car for the time i had off this week. I was home Tues night and came back Sunday night. Got to put some miles on the car before bringing it to my G-mas to store it. I love that car.....

Had a couple of issues. it had started fine after sitting w/o running for a week, started fine all week. On sunday, it sat outside of my GF house after a nice long drive, wouldnt start, had nothing. Just replaced the battery and cleaned the terminals, but still had the issue. Jumped it and the idle was out of control. Killed itself a few times. I had this happen awhile ago as well, but only 2 accounts of it. I feel they are two seperate problems. I am going to go through the cables and battery again. Also, IM thinking the idle problem might be the Idle control valve. Might look at replacing that. It has just happened twice now with the idel problem, and spread appart by a few weeks. Just thought I would post up to see if anyone knew wtf is up.

Well the starting problem could be a faulty starter, my camaro did that when me and a ex went out to eat one night. Then i did a bruce almighty "Start now!" and it did..luckly. it progressed and got more frequent and it was the starter. As for the idle, i dont have a clue, i have never have had that issue..

That's not too early to toss a few back man. We could always wait until a couple of hours into the install then break open some beers . We need to go out for some food and drinks afterwards though. I would be more than happy to buy a few pitchers of beer for everyone who helps. If people want to drink a few during the day I can pick some up as well. Just let me know if anyone wants me to bring any and what flavor you want.

I might have to check the battery connection there too if anything. But when I turn the key to accessory, the lights all start blinking, and it cant even get my fog lights to turn on. Either battery, cables, or connection I would assume, but 2 of the 3 (batt and battery terminals) etc I cleaned all up.

You are correct, it is never too early to crack a beer open( with ISU games starting at 11 all the time, I got used to the early morning beers), but it depends on the night before. Ill try to not get completly shitty.

Dont forget the grounds to the battery/connections and see if they are all tight. It might just a little wire causing all this headack...
