yes as stated a 6.0 is something like a 9.40 or so....you'll need a serious motor, probably a TH400 on a 'brake, full drag suspension, big sticky tires, a good amount of weight reduction and some nitrous....in short a 9 second car is going to hit heavy on the wallet, and it probably won't be too streetable so i wouldnt plan on building a 9 second car out of a daily driver.

A high 6.X is a mid 10 second car. You can definitely get there for $50K, including the price of the car.
Cheap/reliable way? Have one of our sponsors build you a forged internal 346ci heads/cam engine, and put a 200 hp wet nitrous kit on it. Then get a built TH350 tranny with a transbrake, 9" Ford rearend, driveshaft, proper torque converter, some upgraded suspension parts, slicks, and go have fun.

I sure wish I had 50K to spend on my camaro....Hell I would be happy with 2,000 that way I could get a cam and headers. Being poor sux *** when you want to make your ls1 faster. ![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
