when you turn on ur lights does the whole honey comb section light up when you brake. Or just like the ends of the brake light and the other half by the "TRANS AM" stay dark.

replace the bulbs first. if that doesnt work get a wiring diagram and go hunting.

very likely a bad turn signal switch. (most probably) you need to get a schematic and check it out.

I am betting on fuses. Those things can be a pain. THey couldnt connect a OBDII to scan my SES code (turned out to be a code for an exhaust leak-fixed) b/c a fuse was burned out. Fuse controlled the OBDII port and the cigarette lighter apparently. Check fuses.

Most times the cigarette lighter blows fuses for whatever reason if you just take out the lgihter part you should be fine

follow the wire from the brake \hazzard fuse on the schematic one way it goes directly to the center brake light. the other wire for the brake lights goes to the hazzard switch, if the hazzards are off brake lights are enabled, then it goes to the center of the turn signal switch (this is most likely where the open is) if niether turn signal is in use brake lights work with the right turn signal on it flashes and only the left and center brake light come on.
