I like bikes. They're quick. Crash a car and you might get hurt. Crash a bike and you WILL get hurt. In light of recent events I'm keeping my *** off of one.
People say, "if it's my time, I'll go when I'm supposed to" don't realize that there are worse things than death.

Not to be mean or rude and Richard was a good guy even though we never did see eye to eye but motorcycles dont kill people just like guns dont. It the beholder that kills someone or themselves. I have been riding for a long time and i know my limits but if you think about it to be honest i would rather crash a bike than a car in some conditions. If someone hits me its just luck that makes you get up if you lose control you have a better chance of just sliding down the hwy. I have a friend that was run over by a school bus and is fine other than the problems he caused from not going beck to the doc. I also have seen someone get rear ended in a car at about 30 mph and killed them instantly from a broken neck. BTW Hilton you are very correct, if its your time to go then there is nothing you can do about it. For instance Richard was a very good rider and from the sound of things he has dont what he needed to do in his life time. Im sure god just wanted him up there more than he wanted him down here. Now he is in a better place kicking back with the one and only.
You may not agree with whats said ^ but its my point of view. Just dont give motorcycles a bad name because something tragic happened.

I do agree, but i have a bike and haven't rode it in 2 years because i have had to many friends that have died on one. And im also scared to sell it to someone i know bc if something happens to them i would feel guilty.

Richard was one of the best riders in the COUNTRY. People would pay him to ride their bikes. Galen's got about 40K miles on his. Didn't stop him from breaking 2 vertebrae and ******* up his knee. (he's mostly ok now). Heath's crashed his bikes several times. I drove a bike to work for about 4 days a couple years ago. It was fun, but not worth the risk. I'm definitely not as good of a rider as the 3 I just mentioned.
Oh, and I'm safer with my guns than without them.

Do any of ya'll have a set of QA1 or strange rear adjustable shocks for sale?
I had a chasis builder (friend of mine) redo the rear suspension and my competition engineering shocks are not stiff enough now that the binding is gone. Right now the car is transfering hard enough on the street at WOT shift that the 9" is slaming into the bottom of the body . Now i need something that i can adjust and taylor to what i need. Figured i would ask before i order some new ones in a few weeks. Probably have to get some madman "save your ***" bars the way the car is leaving now

Hey Chris, did you get the intercooler mounted yet? I am sorry for not getting that bracket to you last weekend. I had to go to Laredo TX to work for awhile and I am still here unfortunately.

I'll bite. What did you give for your bike? I have less than 3000 in my TA. Probably right at $3300 after its completed and it should run way down in the 10's when it's all lined out. It should be done before next weekend. Fuel system is done and I'm wiring everything up right now.

Thanks for looking Chris. I'll find one eventually. Hell, I may have one laying around here somewhere.
On a different note, Dorothy the Wretched ***** is RUNNING!!
Still have a bunch of little things to iron out. Trying to bleed the brakes right now. The clutch needs vacuuming, I've got a suspension clunk in the right rear of the car, I also need to play with the exhaust some. I've got the Y pipe attached to the headers, but it's not connected to the car at any place. I'm trying to remember how I had this before the duals. Mark gave me an over the axle pipe amongst a bunch of other stuff, and Josh Duet donated a Hooker to the project. I'm running 4" to the axle, then reducing to 3" right at the last possible point. I pulled off all the hangers for a stock style exhaust. Hope I can either find them, or source some.
