mind as well buy the next couple jet sized up when you find a place for them and be prepared I went to a dyno day and only had my one set of jets with me and wish I would have brought them with me to put the big shot to the formula before it got sold. it picked up 165hp and 260ftlbs on a .62N jet. I was safe and pulled 10* since I was on straight 93*

I think I am going to get 93, 99, and a 105

The guy I bought the basic kit I have from said he ran a lot of 100-200 shot tune-ups and he ran them by the jet card so I have a lot of jets from 46-60 but nothing from 38-44 where I really needed them on his 82 jet tune-up.

Oh well I got to put the big pills in to run with them new fangled TFS Thadd has!!! Just kidding buddy, I am really impressed with how his car 330'd last night and ran. On top of that he short shifted the **** out of 2nd gear when that thing came off the line none of us was expecting that I don't think! It looked great and I know he was pumped. Even though I didn't run my car I was just as happy for him.

Paul had a good showing too and we swear and he swears he got the win light, but his front tire had to of tripped the beam at the traps and not the nose of his car or his extender. He was racing Kevin Robinson in Ol' yeller and he had him at the 60' 1.26 to a 1.30 330' was dead identical and it was 5.58(paul) 5.56(mikey in kevins car) but paul had him by .12 on the tree. Makes no sense but it was a damn good race anyways.

Jenny killed all the boys last night with a string of hits in the low .40's and even got a .39 in the heat!

I feel like the world's biggest idiot.

This whole time I have been going off of what the sticker on my 15lb bottle weighs.

Well that's fine and dandy IF IT WERE A 15LB BOTTLE STICKER!!!! Holy **** man, I've been leaving 4-5lbs out of this thing each time I get it filled!

I knew the label was for a 10lb bottle, what I didn't know until I was reading a guys thread further down this section that you can't just add 5lbs to a 10lb bottle and get the contents of a 15lb bottle! Holy **** I have been beating myself up for no reason on why this car won't run right IMO.

It is the little things that make each car run different. You haven't been a jerk to me and have been helpful. No hard feelings?

Good deal bro.

Honestly I cannot take any credit for Thadd's car.

Justin Smith did the nitrous adjustments last time we were at the track with him, and helped with the suspension set-up, but Thadd, Paul, Ted and Drew were really the ones that put it all together and made it work.

I'm just a spectator/cheer leader/add my opinion here and there when he runs his car. If he needs help with changing his plugs or heating the bottle or anything that's what I am there for when I don't run my car.

Now that he has his car going for the stock cube record I need to keep my sites on the stock shortblock record!

Still can't believe I wasn't getting the bottle filled all the way up. That will be remedied immediately tomorrow. I bet that's why my car never ran hard on the top end. I never had a fresh full bottle in it.

We will see what all this added stuff does Saturday. I am really excited and hope to get the ls1excitement crew together again then for some shenannagins!

Ordered a 93 jet and a 44 jet today shipping was cheaper from Summit, sorry Dave. It's coming from GA also so it will be here Wednesday or Thursday. I am going to start with 93n/46f with B9EFS plugs at 17* total timing on 110 sunoco. Read some plugs and see what they look like. Probably lean it out with the 44 jet since it's been so hot lately and when it's hot tune-up will be richer than when it's cooler. Besides lean is mean

I think Nitrous Outlet calls for 93n/48f and I'm pretty sure Chris told me their systems were jetted for 11.7-11.8 per their jetting at 950psi so this should get me 12.0-12.1 to start hopefully never know.

Got a full 32.7lb nitrous bottle now also.

Ready to do work.

You are brave running 17* on a 93 jet with a stock shortblock. If you run that much try putting the timing at 15* from 3600 to 5600. If you shortshift the car and it falls into peak tq that 17* will put a lot of pressure on the stock piston. I always run peak tq timing -2 or -4 from peak rpm timing on the stock shortblock cars.

Car doesn't fall below 6300-6400rpm on the shift extension. There was no timing and no heat what so ever on the 82n jet at 17* timing. This is also on 110 octane sunoco not pump gas.

I plan on pulling the timing a little differently with the bigger jet instead of the way I was on the smaller jet. Converter that was in the car just was too tight for a smaller jet and needed the timing down low to get it off the line.

Also I can imagine it's a lot drier in Texas as far as water grains go. It's been so humid out here lately that you can cut the air with a spoon. 100 degree weather, 75% humidity, 2000-3000DA you can run more timing and really need to run more timing in that kind of weather to keep the performance of the car up.

The way I was pulling timing I wasn't pulling it all out until 5600-6000rpm where it makes peak torque at and where the converter locks up and couples at. If I tried pulling one big chunk out for the tune-up it wouldn't get out of it's own way until 6500-6600rpm.

According to nitrous outlet for their plate, .78 is 200, .82 is 225, .88 is 250, .93 is 300, .99 is 350, .110 is 400.

I have heard some companies call a .82 200, I've heard some call it 225, only place I have truly seen 250rwhp or more from a 82 jet is a prock, speedtech, IS, or hopped up cross bar plate.

I talked to Monte Smith about the -4 line theory and he said with 5' -4 line he has flowed 400hp+ and saw solid repetitive gains for each size bigger jet he flowed.

He did say the gains would be bigger with the -6, but that the -4 isn't a restriction with a 5-6' line at all.

I do have my eye on a -6 feed line, 1/4 turn valve, 5" Induction Solution nitrous pressure gauge to go right after the 1/4 turn valve and a trash can solenoid for the nitrous side to make the most out of the .93-.99 jets I plan to run all the time.

Hopefully my -6 line will support a 250-300 shot even with it being 16 feet long.

No doubt in my mind it will. Just make sure you have -4 from your solenoids to your plate on fuel and nitrous side.
