it went 12.20 with a 1.85 60' with the old gears...def. needed lower gears to move the slicks, so im sure i can get it down to 1.65ish range.

not to mention i was only like 75% through 4th in the old 1/4 so now ill be well into 5th

yeah, 4.71's and a full spool arent too fun on the street, but shitgetsit for sure.

-My car is going on a diet this winter. I'd like to lose about 100-150lbs out of it.
-Maybe some mini-tubs.
-255l fuel pump

If I get back to work soon:

-Forged connecting rods
-Victor Jr single plane intake
-Accufab 4150 4bbl TB
-Fiberglass SS hood
-drag wheels

If you do those mini-tubs, could you pm me? I've always been interested in seeing how that's done on these f-bodies

If your going to be putting on a mini-tubing clinic post up the dates and maybe more of us can come see as well

You want to come by and pick up those plugs or have me mail them?

Not really stuck on any particular brand of connecting rod, but they will need to be 6.100" long, not the 6.125" and the least expensive the better. This is going to be the winter "budget" build instead of the 427 that I really wanted to do. The forged rods will at least let me run some juice next year without the worry of sending a stock connecting rod through the block.

I think the Accufabs are actually made by Wilson/FAST so if you can shoot me some pricing.

As with all my projects, it will be well documented if I tackle the mini-tubs. I'm currently making my own "DIY Budget Drag Bar" and it's almost finished. https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...-sway-bar.html

Still gonna be fuel injected. The Vic Jr intake will have the fuel injector bungs, and the Accufab is still a throttle body, just has the basic design and style of a 4bbl carb, but they flow around 1100cfm. I'll probably go speed density tune and ditch the MAF also. Between those upgrades, should pick up a considerable amount of topend power,,,,, 20hp minimum with no other changes. At the power level I'm at right now, the stock L76 manifold becomes a restriction.

I figure with the intake upgrades, and lost weight on the car, there's no reason I shouldn't run 10.50 - 10.70's at 126-128 (in summer heat) all motor once the chassis/suspension is dialed in. That's the plan anyway lol....

Should be fun next year.
