So I am looking to get SFC, I have been looking at UMI and I am trying to decide which ones to go with. I like the 3 point for extra strenth, mostly looking to try to prevent quarter pannel demples and just tie everything togeather, and I am not sure if they are worth spending the extra money on them. Also for any of you that have got UMI if you got weld in did it come with the mounting hardware, I have heard from a few people that they do come with mounting hardware so you can mount then weld in place.

If you are handy with a welder and a few hand tools, they're fairly easy to make them yourself like I did.....

Your SFC look good. Looking at the different designs they are all pretty basic and seem like they would be fairly simple, however my dad is in the process of building a shop and at the moment the welder is tough to get to and dont really have the room to do it. Also I am unsure if I want to weld them on, was looking to just bolt them on to start and go from there. I know the welded on is stronger, however I am not sure since mine is a 35th anniversary edition if i should weld them on. Yours look like they tuck up nicely and I would think it would be a fair amount cheaper to build your own. On my Jeep we built a lot of the stuff and I am really happy with how it all turned out, cause you can make it how you want it. However right now I just want to get something fairly quick so I can help to prevent the demples. What welder did you end up going with?
This is the welder I bought. I really wanted a nice Lincoln or Miller but I was on a tight budget. I've burned alot of metal with this machine already, and it's held up great so far and is very easy to setup. The only complaint I had was that the power cord was too short. I went to Home Depot and bought about 20' of heavy gauge power wire and extended the power cord so I can move it anywhere in my garage and use the same outlet (dryer outlet).

Had Tom Wong tune the six, she put down 248 to the wheels, then the clutch decided it hated life. I think the disk separated from the center, still grabs, but there's some wild noise going on. Gotta drop the trans out and see what's up, but I'm in the red now money wise. Can't afford to play with it some more until June or July

Buying the rod bolts/head bolts first so we can start having everything put together. Already got the valve train installed in the L92s and had them milled 0.030
