I've got a friend that drives for Frito Lay and he said they were hiring for drivers. He makes good money and the benifits are well worth it to after 90 days.

Went to a diesel dyno day today......... They put 52 trucks on the dyno in one day. The place was packed almost all day and was alot of fun. I was quite pleased with my truck's performance. 430 HP / 818 Tq almost 819. Good enough for towing.

I heard about that, had a VW friend telling me to bring my big turbo VW out - was there a guy there with an older vw diesel truck? he's spinning it to something like 6k and making pretty impressive power for a 1.6

I think 3 or 4 VW's dynoed and even one volvo turbo diesel. The VW truck there only made 86 HP. There was 2000 Jetta TDI that made 232 HP. The big number of the day was my friend with the red duramax that runs out at PIR. He was spinning the tires a bit on the drums and still put down 960 HP / 1382 Tq.

As for my truck it is a stock 05 Duramax/Allison combo running on 100% biodiesel (less energy than petro) and running an Edge programmer around 140 HP tune.

Yes it was the red truck with twins. The bigger of the two turbo's is a 96 or 98, can't remember. He would like to go to a 106. The little turbo I think is a 48. He also has nitrous on it, but didn't use it for the dyno. He only sprays at the beginning to get the big one spooling quicker on the track.

I saw that truck last year it was impressive but he said he was working on tune and suspension settings and was not running at its potential. What is his best time with it now?

Yes it is a built motor and trans. His best was a couple weeks ago and went 10.23 @ 132 mph. That was on tune 4 and he dynoed on tune 5. He wanted a 10.50 truck and is happy with where it is at. He really doesn't want to go through all the hassle to go faster (chassis cert, licensing, fees associated, etc.) And at this level he isn't breaking parts like some of the others across the country. The faster you go, the more parts you tend to break and cost more $$$$$. They are pretty sure they now have the suspension dialed in. He still needs to do some testing with the waste gate and spring. There is the thoughts that he might be out of turbo, thus not getting the most out of it, but then again, getting the most might end up hurting parts and more money.

My ears are burning.

Yes the big turbo is a 98mm, the "small" one is 75mm.

Like Cody said, need to do some more testing and messing around with the wastgate to see what's up. Drive pressure is high at 125psi for the boost which is ~90psi/45psi, EGT is 1600. If that doesn't fix it, might need to go with bigger chargers, not to necessarly to go faster, but to get things more in check at the times it runs now. As of yesterday I have a new data logger which will help a bunch. It's impossible to keep track of 3 gauges running down the track.

Here's the dyno pull:

Congrats on the numbers Cody. That's very impressive for the amount of mods done.
