Well, no racing for me again this weekend. PIR isn't having late night drags at all this coming weekend, and Woodburn is hosting some huge bracket racing event. Could go to that, but there's gonna be an assload of racers which means very little run time, plus it's eliminations. Not exactly what I'd like to do with as many changes as I made to the car.
SOOOOO,,,,, looking like September 11th at PIR is the next late night drags. Weather permitting, I will be there. Anyone else plan on going? Summer is rapidly coming to an end folks...... Get your racing fix while you still can lol....

Mike - you wouldn't be able to run at Woodburn this weekend even if you wanted to. It is a big team/points race that is by invitation only to race. Spectators are always welcome. I will be there all weekend and am leaving today after work.
It's supposed to rain anyways so have fun in the mud puddles.

Maybe for you guys. Track was dried by 2 pm and we just finished racing for the day with no other delays. Went 3 rounds today (top 6 out of 43) before a monster wheelie slowed me down.

I say that run were you race the crapstang, and man, I wish youcould of hooked up better you would if killed him. what was your guys best time for the night, I think I herd mike go 11.3 something? And phill like 13.13?. Best cars forthe go out to the 55chevy twin 88 turbo. Running like 8.8@167, and that bad *** 69 camaro wich ran a 8.004@176..

Running like 8.8@167, and that bad *** 69 camaro wich ran a 8.004@176..Toward the end of the night I ended up hot-lapping my car 4 times in a row and ran them all within about 36 minutes lol.... Once I got the launch rpm where it needed to be for the track, the car ran real consistent. Between 9:24 and 10:00pm I ran these times:
11.304 @ 124.58 - 9:24pm
11:329 @ 124.61 - 9:37pm
11.302 @ 124.74 <-- New Personal Best - 9:46pm
11.349 @ 124.70 - 9:59pm
Overall it was a good night and noboby really broke anything. My throttle cable bracket bent and popped the cable out during one of my runs. I missed 4th gear on another, and that run probably would have been my best run since it was my best 60' of 1.73. I was getting mid/high 1.7's all night. Considering the track wasn't prepped for ****, it seems like the suspension changes that were made to the car seem to be working. I'm going to re-adjust the rear shock settings for next Friday and make a few more tweaks. Hopefully PIR will lay down some VHT next week.
I have some videos but I won't be able to process them until later in the week (borrowed vid camera, don't have the cable).
Congrats to everyone who ran and got a new best. Sorry ya didn't get your 12 sec slip Phil. The track wasn't very kind to us, especially the 6sp cars. Nice meeting Joe, Larry, and Skyler (tech guy). Congrats to Eric for running a new best time on the jug, 11.4x?

ya that was me in the pewter ss. i ran like crap all night, but on my last run i got a 12.96@110.67 which is my new personal best. plus i got my reaction time down pretty good 077. the weather sucked at first but it was nice once it cooled off.
Lets do it again soon on a cool day though lol!!!
