He blasted out of the hole and left me in the dust on one of the runs, hitting the brakes about the 600' mark but he still ran a 6.76 in the 1/8th. That's a 9 second car once he dials her in.

Toward the end of the night I ended up hot-lapping my car 4 times in a row and ran them all within about 36 minutes lol.... Once I got the launch rpm where it needed to be for the track, the car ran real consistent. Between 9:24 and 10:00pm I ran these times:

11.304 @ 124.58 - 9:24pm
11:329 @ 124.61 - 9:37pm
11.302 @ 124.74 <-- New Personal Best - 9:46pm
11.349 @ 124.70 - 9:59pm

Overall it was a good night and noboby really broke anything. My throttle cable bracket bent and popped the cable out during one of my runs. I missed 4th gear on another, and that run probably would have been my best run since it was my best 60' of 1.73. I was getting mid/high 1.7's all night. Considering the track wasn't prepped for ****, it seems like the suspension changes that were made to the car seem to be working. I'm going to re-adjust the rear shock settings for next Friday and make a few more tweaks. Hopefully PIR will lay down some VHT next week.

I have some videos but I won't be able to process them until later in the week (borrowed vid camera, don't have the cable).

Congrats to everyone who ran and got a new best. Sorry ya didn't get your 12 sec slip Phil. The track wasn't very kind to us, especially the 6sp cars. Nice meeting Joe, Larry, and Skyler (tech guy). Congrats to Eric for running a new best time on the jug, 11.4x?

Mike

LOL,,,, thanks man. IMO it's too loud for street use. I'd never want to drive this thing on a daily basis but it does sound pretty mean haha... The car got alot of looks when I'd pull up to the staging area. I'll probably be out there again this coming Friday. When are you going to come out and play at PIR?

Ya but one thing I have learned this year racing is that its all in baby steps and learning how to drive as you change and adjust the car! Its about time so maybe something will happen this winter

Mike! Thats you with a lil juice and some more hook!!!!

Man that sucks Phill, sorry to hear that. Damn Opti's.... it's the achilles heel of the LT1's.....

I think there are several ways of eliminating the opti. One of them uses a crank type trigger and the individual coils from an LS engine, but it's somewhat expensive.

Hey it was nice meeting some new people at the track Sat. night. I made a few motor runs but was off my normal times by .2 or so. Ran 12.80 on motor. Got my one hero pass in at the end of the night. 11.42 @120 w/ 1.66 60'. That was on a 100 shot. I think its got more in it cause I kinda rolled into the throttle off the line. My nitrous is setup with a WOT switch so it isn't on unless you're at WOT. Also I don't think I purged it long enough.

Anyway, found a nice shop here in Tualatin that does race chassis. They'll be buildin me a rollbar probably this winter. I think they can handle it, they do Top Alcohol and Top Fueler chassis. Pretty cheap too.

Mike good job, sounds like our tie strap fix worked. Everyone else, nice cars and did I notice that we all had TDs...sweet. Hope to go racin with you guys again sometime soon....Just noticed that both of my PRs are out of date, have to change that soon.

Eric
