I need to get rid of my big *** rims...
Damn I wish mike still had those zr1s for sale!
If anyone can find a buyer or trader for some chrome zr1s (2x 17x11) and (2x 17x9.5) I'll provide a finders fee!

I heard having the 9" robs up to 30HP? That seems a bit drastic to me. I need a clutch so bad. I probly missed 10 shifts lastnight

Good luck on that weight loss...our WS6's are heavy SOB. They weigh in 300+ lbs over the Camaro's.

Also there is something strange goin on with my rev limter? Its set at 6600 but sometimes it starts bouncing off 6300 and other times it will go to about 6500? Anyone have any ideas?

Yup the 9 inch eats up a decent amount of power. High 20's to 30 HP. As far as your rev limiter goes, it's probably in the tune. That's what was going on with my Z28. It would bounce around 6000rpm like 3 times and then kick back in. The guy that bought the car from me had Tom tune it out and it never did it afterward.

By september I think I will be getting my 11.9 slip. I launched at 4000rpm my last few runs and that is how I got my best time. But on a lot of my runs my clutch would **** up and screw up my shifts. So a new clutch is my next mod. Hell I got a 12.7 and dident even get into 4th gear lol. Anyway it was a great night
WOW great run Joe I was guessin a 12.3-12.4 at best so thats great! things are running good up fnt now time for everything out back to get beefed! I bet you didn't lose to many, if any races! are you to loud to run after ten? I seem to be now... see those tires like a warm day unlike last fall.

The car is making too much power for the clutch to handle it has a real issue shifting into 3rd and 4th when I'm pushing the car hard. Plus I couldent get all the rpms out of it. Its sposed to be set at 6600 but I can never even get it up 6500 really before I hit the limiter???? Anytime steven wants to race me ill be around to honor it

Ya after I made a few shitty runs I dident think there was any way in hell I was gonna get a low 12 lol. I won every race but one...I raced some ricer and he got a 12.0 when I got my 12.1 but I was passing him when we hit the line lol and ya the tires wroked great I would buy another set for sure

The factory tachs are known to be really slow to respond, especially on a modded engine. First and second gears come up really fast on the rpm's (especially if you're spinning), so you'll need to shift a couple hundred rpm before the tach actually reaches the rpm shown on the tach. Third and fourth gears are usually a little better because you reach the shift rpm at a slower rate. Eventually you'll be able to listen to the rpm's and shift by the sound of the engine rather than the tach. I have an Autometer tach with shiftlight and I'm usually already shifting just before the shiftlight comes on.

You missed a great deal too. I sold those rears for, I think, 375.00. That was less than I paid for the tires alone.

We'll race sometime soon, possibly when it cools down a bit more, my car doesn't like the heat at all and I'm still getting random ses lights for o2s...

I bet my c6s are weighing me down bad!! Prolly .5 difference if I had 17s...

Pulling the motor back out of the Camaro tomorrow night, well, at least start. Need to get that crankshaft fixed from the flywheel coming loose twice now. Also have an ATI harmonic balancer in the mail to see if it'll kill some of the nasty harmonics this baby engine puts out, moreso now that my balance shaft is gone thanks to being forced to run a double roller chain to handle my valve springs. This build is going to be done right, solid straight through. But one weak link I can't afford to mend is this stupid 10 bolt. I'm going to be maxing out this g-force built T5 trans as it is power wise, lol. Need to finish this thing so I can woop on some of you v8 guys

I might drive up to Canby area to hang with Tyler if he is around. If anyone else wants to hang out let me know. All just depends how I feel when I get off work this morning.

Weren't you trapping around 120-121 or so at PIR that night I was there? That sounds about right for your power level and weight of the car.
