Default weirdness in the Throttle Cracker; stalling fix.

In tuning on a car ('02 Trans Am) last night I came across
an ugly/weird looking Throttle Cracker Airflow table (see 1st
.gif). I was trying to alleviate a stalling problem that was
seen with throttle blips / braking w/ low throttle.

This is apparently present from stock, it's in my original tunes.
The table just looks wrong; big follower air where you would
think you need none, and zero air added right where you need it
most.

I eyeball-smoothed it (see 2nd .gif) and it seemed to eliminate
the stalling, at least I got a phone call to that effect from the
road on his way home.

I've had to do some intersting masage therapy on the cracker/follower tables to get my idle transistions under control as well.

Those holes in the table are only on 00-02 A4 cars. 98-99 A4 tables don't have them or neither do any year M6 car tables.

Is there a standard method for tuning the cracker table, or is it pretty much a case of try something and see if it works?

So what table did you use? How did you put a different table into your 2000 program? I have a 2000 A4 and I still cant get my rpms to come down from 1600 for a few seconds like you said when stopping.

what tuning software do you have? 1600 rpm on a stock tune adds 3 g/sec in the 2000's and is a pita lol lowering that is what helps out. let me know what you have to tune with, should be the same in all of them, its the throttle cracker airflow. the one i posted is the one in my car

I have HP Tuners. I put the values of your's in my tune and it helped some.

What should I do with the delay/decay areas? 0 them out?

I'm switching back to MAF from a SD tune and am having problems with getting the idle straight and the whole cruise control/high rpm when stopping.

Yep T-Rex only w/bolt-ons. I will send the one to you before I started messing with it. Do you need a log also?

Please post your results when you get it straightened out. My RPMs are hanging around 1200 before coming to a stop, so I'd like to see what needs to be changed to make it behave correctly.

what year is your car? usually if its a throttle cracker issue, most hang at about 1600, if its around 1200 it can be idle airflow too high if you have adjusted on it

It's a 99. Earlier this week I redid the RAF and reset the TPS, so it's open 3 percent.
