Sounds like 99% of the CFI customers I dealt with at the bank over the summer. Bitch at me because "unemployment doesn't pay us enough" and they overdraw their accounts.
Also reminds me of a lady who would max out her credit card, take out a 2nd mortgage to "pay off the credit card" and spend the extra on shopping and other crap and took out a personal loan to make payments for her extra mortgage payment.

I saw a girl who was 20 this summer go through $80k life insurance money from her dad dying in a work related accident and all she has to show for herself now is a $7,000 Nissan Altima. Did she ever listen to me about investing or saving any of the money? Nope

Figured after reading 8 pages I would jump on here. MACH 1'S ARE SLOW. Been away for a while how are all my LS1 Tech friends doing??? My new motor install will begin in a few weeks and With 20+ pounds of boost I should be ready for you NORIDE. Carry on fellas...

no you still wont be ready the car is getting the head work an turbo now with 20+ lbs plus the spray with the independant fuel system for the race gas,it should pretty nasty with the eagle 5.1 stroker.i guess we will find out soon,i also had some body work done but not going into final paint until after the motor work is done

Mach1s are slow stock like LS1 based Fbodies are slow stock. You can't say the Mach is slow without also claiming a LS1 fbody is slow.
I think NEITHER car is slow stock, but hey, if you are going to label. Especially considering it's a driver's race between the two cars.
A 95 TA would have to have some money invested in it to even get it as fast as a stock Mach1.

what jesus theres a lot of lt1 bashing in this thread. i believe that you take a stock m6 lt1 and put a cold air on it, that would be a good race for a MACH 1. that is if the lt1 didnt come with airplane gears like mine did. if i had put the 373s and cold air on my car i would race a stock mach 1 anyday. but maybe my car is a freak, last time out to the track cam only it ran 12.5 with a miss. and a tiny stall. Lt1s are the most underestimated motor of all time. i love it, cause when people roll up next to me they get a big suprise!

A lot of people do not take into account that many of the stock a4 lt1 cars came with 2.73 gears. i mean really, who could be proud of beating an auto car with 2.73 gears. lets put 2.73s in a ls1 car and see how it runs. lol. my car was never in the power band stock. The BIGGEST reason modded ls1s are faster than lt1s is the ENORMOUS aftermarket for ls1s compared to lt1s.
