Come on, this is a GM forum. The general nut swingers tend to forget about reality

There are cam-only LS1's beating H/C/I LT1's. There are a lot of variables involved and sadly when performance cars get cheap, lots of idiots can afford them and build terrible setups which give the LT1 as a motor a bad rap sheet.

He said low-mid 13s. If you can't run better than a 13.5, you're either at a high DA or you need lots of practice. There are several members here that have run 13.1-13.3 their first passes at the track.

Point is they don't "average" low 13's. I am a previous owner and mid 13's (sea level) is what you'll see %99.9 percent of the time. LS1's are usually 2-3 mph faster.

Learn to drive. My first time out in a Mach 1 with nothing but a catback (does nothing for power) I ran a 13.2 at a shitty track. Had I had a couple more runs to get the launch down and shifts right it would have been better. And I would consider myself an average driver.

But that is nothing suprising. You are downtalking Mustangs again. I think you are nothing but a follower.

i also meant the 11 second cc503 cars too smart ***. i said top 5 percent period. i didnt say top 5 percent of lsx cars did i? next time read what i write and take what i write for exactly what it says and not what you want to read into it. i said your average owner/builder. that meant for both. next time ill write it out in crayon so you can understand it.

Ok so average owner/builder LS > LT. Gotcha...

Why cant all cars be included? Top 5% of LS owners cheat?

Face it, mod for mod LS > LT just like mod for mod LS2 > LS1 just like mod for mod LS3 > LS2 just like mod for mod LS7 > LS3. I own an LS2 and know where I stand in the food pyramid, LT1 owners on the other hand are like older 5.0 owners for some reason.

u must not know much about how an engine works, because if you did you would know that 90% of an engines power is in the top end. that is what makes the ls "superior". put a killer top end on an lt and it will run with an ls.

You are exactly right. There are SOME things that help newer engines (lsx) but they are still a very basic pushrod motor. It's all in the cubic inch and flow.

And I posted that while drunk!!
