So Hiho, are you saying that because E85 isn't close to you means anyone that runs e85 has a race car or just that you wouldn't run it? Are you saying that just because people have DDs that their toy is a race car? I don't see any need to put unessecary wear and tear on expensive parts, there's nothing fun about my work commute that would even make me want to drive the car.

Last few hundred break in miles on the tranny this week. Bled the master and put in DOT 4 today. Ready for some low 13s at Dragging Rights.

I spent the last year without synchros so I guess I got used to rev matching all the time pretty quick. Wasn't that bad.

Your math is wrong...fixed

10.73 < 11.05 = 3.2 car lengths / 0.25 miles

AND

higher trap speed = street kill

That is the beauty of the midwest. E85 errywhere.

Only issue that I'd have running it is that there is maybe one station super off route between where I'll be living come graduation and the lake house

The car is dead silent and traps over 140mph. It gets 28mpg cruising at 65mph. He takes it out every weekend with his wife to a fancy restaurant. It is on factory c2 wheels AND factory c2 tires. He has been featured in quite a bit of magazines for running well into the 10s...almost into the 9s... on a street tire. And no not a DR... a factory all season tire on never anything but 93 octane. Hell its his nice weather daily driver.

Yet according to this site... its a race car and not a street car. Because it has a cage.

Give me a break...
Did I somehow become the resident voice of this forum? It's simply my opinion, now if I'm the resident voice, I guess you can make this statement.

Lol people can call it whatever they want. But at the end of the day... when i have to drive a long distance..... i drive the Boss because its more comfortable and better on gas then my 6 cylinder daily driver.
Evan, and yeah, it's real "SANE" to remove your wipers for weight reduction. Talk about "give me a break". What'd you save 3lbs? Ridiculous. Go pass an inspection buddy. Good luck.

I agree.

Turn her into a wife and see how this changes. See if she would even consider driving stick. Women do all sorts of things before marriage that don't happen afterwards.

It's well capable of getting into the 9's on my next outing and when the ecutout is closed its quiet as stock. To me that is a street car. Plus the wife can drive it.
I agree Willli. To me streetcar for sure. E85 is at the pump, and the DD chores can be done along with the wife being able to drive it. Turbos are a great thing.
