Nope I owned a L76. hence my sig..Which with DOD i still didn't average that kinda gas mileage. While my buddies had there LS1's I had a Cobra. They all bitched about how their mpg sucked. None them got over 24mpg on the highway averaging 70-75. Or better in the city of about 15.
My car is an auto, so it won't get the same MPG's as a 6spd manual. But when I take my 800 mile trips to go visit family, I average 26MPG, going 70MPH. I got the same MPG's before and after my minor mods.
If you drive the thing hard, yeah, you'll get shitty gas mileage. I baby mine on the highway, and it pays me back. On a 100 mile trip going 55MPH the whole way I averaged 29.8 MPG.

Well I know you can read the sticker. It says the AVERAGE is 18 city/27 highway with a 6 speed in stock form. Some cars will get slightly better, some cars will get slightly worse. Remember, this is stock form.

(Hint, look at transmission gearing)

Also I was talking when my G8 was stock.

And the LS1 will get better fuel mileage than the L76 in a G8, weighs almost 700 lbs less. I have a friend who has a G8 GT, says he can get up to 27MPG on the highway, but the sticker on it says 24 or 25.

The speed limit on highway 31 in Indiana is 55MPH. I had already gotten pulled over earlier that day for going 71 in a 55 zone, so I did the speed limit the rest of the way.

Can you explain to me why I should drive 4 hours to meet some dipshit off the internet because HE thinks he has something to prove to a smaller motor, N/A Ford? Now I've told you that you are more than welcome to come to me and run me. We will even run your race, whatever you want.

I had a G8..I never got better then 24 on the highway and 16 in the city. Hell I actually got better with mods on it. And if you look at my sig you will see my G8 made more power then half the people arguing about there LS1's this and that. Ran a full bolt on manual 5.0 and got pulled by about two cars. Raced a 5.0 when i was just bolt ons(377whp) and he was stock auto. I pulled him about 2 cars on the interstate.

A 02-04 zo6 should run 12.0... I have seen them go in the 11's stock tires and all. I have'nt seen a new Camaro SS run yet so I won't say.

The LS1 will so easily rip the *** out of any modular Ford, or even most FI & Nitrous Fords--------> on the streets. Why do you think I jumped over to the darkside. My 03 went low 10's @ 133 with a s/c, n20, sra, gears bolt-ons all that $hit. My LS1 needed H/C, bolt-ons, and a eBay n20 kit to do that. So long modular Fords.
