Well let me explain to you what did happen. I ran 7.7 in the 1/8 with a lightly bolt on 4.6L N/A gutless wonder that can't even crest the 300rwhp mark.

Your boy wonder with 50rwhp more and a bigger motor and more mods could only do less than a tenth better than me.

Actually he had less mods and less tire and did it in street trim. You were in full race trim.

2 tenths in the 60 is a HUGE difference. From a dig even with a 10mph trap speed advantage you'll be playing catch up for quite a while. I've seen it a million time.

This is coming from an LT1 that 60'd and ET'd well but trapped like ****. A lot of times there just isn't enough road to make up for that *** raping for the first few hundred feet. Quite a few drinks were paid for by people who didn't understand that a drag race is won in the first 330', not in the mph you trap.

What "record" cars are you tuning for? Just about any place on the east coast can get to 0 and negative d/a, go on those days. The problem with -d/a around my area is the track is **** on those days. Typically because it's cold and I don't run slicks to make up the difference. Unless you utilize the whole track d/a don't really factor in much in 2k-3k swing for most of us. A clean run with good traction can net better results.

Take me for instance. I leave the line @ 50-60% throttle and don't go full throttle until about 25mph. D/a don't mean alot in that situation....some but not alot. If I could be full throttle @ 10mph that would mean more.
