Mach at the track

I don't even have that phone anymore! Lol all I remember is we were going to meet up in Columbia but it ended up not happening. I do remember you randomly texting me asking me if any racing up here was going on but it was an odd day and there wasn't.
Let me know when you are back around.

No, no, no, no. Not how it went down brother. Just reread our texts. The first night we started talking, it was May 21st, funny it's almost exactly a year lol. Anyways, on this day you mentioned your Cobra buddy wanting to run, which was fine with me, and I mentioned you would "kill" me from a dig. True, you were on a tire etc etc. No point in arguing that on the street. I said I would agree to a 40. I asked you if you would drive "a little further south" and you said you would ask him and I would get with my dude. After that, I sent you a text saying I am willing to drive an hour and a half. You said you already told your wife you would be staying in. Few more texts of you talking about beating a 2v. lol. May 22nd we were still texting, and you asked when will I be able to come down. I said I'm not going to drive 2 and a half hours to meet up. That would be nearly 5 hours of driving total, and it's in your backyard. I didn't feel it was worth it. You said well let's do it next weekend, and I said I wouldn't be here because I was leaving within the next day or two. After that, the only other text I sent you was on June 1st asking if there's a meet because I was actually willing to drive out to meet up since it was my last day there. You said there was no meet and I went to Charlotte instead and met up with some other people there.
That's what really happened. And unfortunately, the furthest south I am willing to drive right now, will be maryland as the next cross country drive will be headed to Texas with a stop in Louisiana. I will recheck my route to see if it's at all possible though because there's some certain 3.7l V6's I would like to run in VA so we will see. Don't count on it though.

You do know who they are. You do. One of these days I will pm them either here or MF.com and get it all setup. I really dig how they are running and have been curious to see what they will do against my M3. We were running close times, but they are running at faster tracks and with much better weather. We will see.

Guess you was serious when you implied that you had a crush on me
You've been dropping my name like it's your job.

You claim to have some sort of knowledge...yet you are telling me a 540rwhp Z, will take a 700rwhp GT500. You need to get out more if that is the case. It takes 100-120rwhp more for a GT500 to cover the weight deficit to a Z06. That Z sprayed him. That is why it won. I wont debate this with you. You would lose the debate so it is a waste of time. The GT500 dynod near 700rwhp and has the Z covered by more than enough rwhp advantage. Thrre is a reason the Z guy is not refuting the spray comment in the thread... because he DID spray him. All those guys are friends anyway.
Now let the big boys talk... here is a cookie.

Due to the weight diffenrences, it takes a properly driven with traction full weight GT500 100-120rwhp more to have an advantge on a full weight properly driven with traction Z06. Simple physics man.
I give props to all fast cars..the Zs are sweet cars.. and proos to yours too since I assume it is a good runner.

One thing to mention.. I am far from a Ford nuthugger..it just happens that I own ine currently. I have had all makes of cars and respect all fast cars... even hondas if done right without the stupid fartcan. I even had a low 11sec Eclipse that went 10.80s on the exact srtup when the friend I sold it to fixed the shifting problem. Yes i have a video.... I respect the FBodies and what can be done to them. So if the preconceived notion of my bleeding Ford blue is the thought, then think again.

Some people can't look past horsepower numbers when judging a car. There is more to who has the bigger rwhp number off the dyno; weight, gearing and aerodynamics come into play and all of those put the GT 500 at a distinct disadvantage to a Z06.

WOW!!!!! You got to be kidding me right? That is a false statement. Lets say you have a turbo vette making 550 and a NA vette making 550 the turbo vette will walk it every time. The torque advantage the turbo vette would be to great to over come. You could have atleast 100 more ft lbs of torgue but still be making the same 550 as the na vette. Same works for nitrous and na. Torgue gets the car moving fast hp keeps it moving fast.
