I had bad experiences running mixed tires on stock rims on three different cars. High speeds was crazy through the traps

Kevin's car is a good runner.. He is doing a good job at getting every horsepower possible to the ground with his setup.. pretty efficient if you ask me. And there are more things he can tweak to get some more out of it.

Much respect to his car.
Thanks man

Oh and you can run radial fronts with a bias ply tire. Plenty of people do it. My car goes straight as an arrow with it. Sounds like another behind the fence expert.

It doesn't start to sway uncontrollably. Yes if you run low tire pressure in the rear 10ish it can sway up top. But if you know its coming and don't try to correct it you will be fine. I run still wall tires in the rear and have 0 sway. Feels just like drag radials in the back.

Good job Kevin. Like to see some 1/4 miles times now. Should be careful with it, they only made 8xx of the white 03 mach's.

I found the tires had 7-8 psi, my tire gauge read 13. They where e.t. steets bias plys. almost lost the car past 1/8 mile. Throw that gauge out and have never had problems with those same tire set at the correct pressures.

Bingo! Funny how some people leave the details out. I got a feeling it's like that with alot of stuff.

Both my cars have radials on the front and bias ply's on the rear for the track, only time mine sways is when the rear tires are too low on pressure. I haven't had that problem in many years because I keep tabs on my pressure before I make a pass.

Not at all. Was not the first time I had seen that.

I've only ran bias on front and radial on rear. I have had other friends do radial on front and bias on rear with fine results.....and I've seen it not be so good. I can get really bad really quick. I just stated NHRA rules.

I'm not driving to a shitty 1/4 mile track or an 1/8 mile track. I'm just telling you where I'll be at Sunday. You can come if you want, I don't care.
