Have to bump the speeds higher.. 35 is first which is useless.. if I start in 2nd at that speed you would crush me. I agree though.. Would love to see it because it would be close. (I like races like that).

I would love to see you get some DRs one of these days. I think you would be shocked how hard your car can actually pull with a little traction.

Yeah I actually might pick up some this year... I am worried about the 10 bolt though. :/

Have a few things to sort out before I worry about that though.

Long as you don't try to break it, they hold alright. Just don't do any 5k launches or a ton of gorilla shifting down low. Good thing about them is that they're dirt cheap, so even if you did bust it, there's one on every corner for $2-300 bucks.

That's true but after pulling the engine last summer in the driveway (I mean.. It's all stock ahem). Not owning a garage makes the little things a huge pita depending on the weather.

Dropping a solid rear is about as easy as it comes. Ask Hiho and Notch how they know...

I've pulled a rear-end out in the driveway. It HONESTLY isn't that bad. Hell, I've even pulled my transmission out in the driveway!

Jeez i can imagine busting up your hands and knuckles while working on a car in that weather :x. Atleast you don't sweat. Imagine in 100% humidity and like 90 degrees.

It sucks, you set a tool down for a couple seconds and come back and it burns the **** outta your hand. Srsly though 10bolts are a cakes. 2 Torque Arm bolts, 2 Shock bolts, 2 Sway bar end links, unplug harness and brake lines and out she goes. Transfer what's needed to new rear and get her in. 2hr job first time by yourself.

I don't know about that. Seeing a tight on ramp or off ramp and doubling the posted speed +20mph would equal a good set up I would say

25 in 1st for you. He would most likely be in 2nd or instant shift. With traction it's over for him, w/o traction at worst you stay beside and walk in 3rd.

lol...Probably about the only thing I have not done to these cars is pull the rear. I fix it and move on. Right now the only thing that breaks on me is the stock axles. Notch busted his carrier by letting it wheel hop. I have not broke a r&p since the move to 3.90's. Which is one of the reasons why I say 4.10's are **** for these cars. Now I don't know how much more the r&p will take.....but I do know axles are cheap .....sometimes free As long as I stay with a 1.7+ 60' it holds great.

Side note.....I did watch them push a 13 or 14sec fox body off the track Fri with a busted rear.

Stoppy I can see why your not impressed with ls cars. Went to the track Fri. night to watch and holy fukin slow ls cars. These guys were struggling to get to 13's. WTF!!!??? These cars are easy- 1: touch 12's in decent air with free/minor mods- 2:If you can't go 12's with headers added then keep practicing.....it's you.- 3: Full bolt-ons should get you to the bottom side of 12's. Keep in mind still all that w/o a dr on the car.- 4: A little weight reduction and a dr you have a solid 11 sec car. It really is that easy.

There was a couple mild vette's ,maybe even stock that went 12's.

My friend with a supercharged Mach went a new best @ 12.3.....drag wheels and all.

Yep...pick the right parts do the right **** and is a no brainer. A m6 car won't even really need a tune other than turning off a couple things.

I don't work on the car if I can help it during colder months, 30 degrees is sweatshirt weather. The extreme ups and downs is what makes it a pita.

So you see folks...you all have just been picking the wrong bolt ons. Also wasted your money with a tune. This my friends is why you are stuck running mid to high 12's instead of mid 11's @ 120mph.

Yeah I did it on my 95 Z28 years ago when I grenaded it. Wasn't terrible... just not something I want to be doing every couple of months.
