Unless its turbo...but i too would make more with a turbo setup.
You will make 750+ with a simple VMP TVS

Yes. But look at the displacement vs. the 5.8

Keep making excuses for why the GM product makes more power. You can say my car has more displacement, then I'll argue "well, your car has four cams and four valves per cylinder!".

Also, Fwiw an LS3 and 5.0 will make in the same area for power with the same blower/psi.

What would be more interesting is seeing how a built N/A 5.0 would stack up to a similarly modded N/A LS3. My $ on the LS3.

Who said they make more power? I would take a 2.3 tvs 5.8 over a 2.3 tvs ls9 any day.

Power to weight the Vette would walk you. I like 5.0s, don't get me wrong, but with equal drivers and mods it would be a pretty obvious outcome.

Fwiw.. Im talking about what the motor itself has accomplished. The ls1 na has accomplished higher records than the 5.0 last time i checked.

it weighs 3200lbs... and i still havent seen a bolt on ls3 match my power on my dyno. Highest fifth gen full exhaust, air intake, tune, ive seen is 395. I know the vettes dyno a bit more... but not THAT much more.

Definitely. But (and this isn't an excuse, just an extremely-valid point) the LS1 has also had a LOT of development time, and aftermarket heads/cams that share nothing with their factory counterparts. As far as I am aware of, there is only one company right now that does anything but regrinds of factory cams, and no aftermarket head castings yet. That information might be out of date, of course.

there arent any aftermarket casting yet... but you can get cams of many choice. 550whp would be possible on a boss bottom end with use of JPC stage 3 top end kit and a cobra jet intake.

550whp NA out of a 5.0 isn't shabby.
