Just raced a fast EVO8

Just raced a fast EVO8 I'm going to a smoke shop in Richmond with my friend (200lbs) when I see this silver EVO. I'm behind him at a stop light and I could see him keep staring at me through his rear view mirror, so then I know he wants to run. We mess around on the street, but we never got enough space to go WOT. As we're ****** around on the street up ahead I see a teal colored LT1 Z28. Fast forward....so the evo lines up with the LT1 and smokes him and puts his hazards 
and they line em up again and same out come and lights. I pull next to him and say lets hit the freeway and he says "Yeah yeah lets go!" so we go from a 55MPH roll and I'm in 2nd and on 3 honks we hit it. I pull instantly a 1/2 car and right before I hit 3rd he's pulling and he's about at my front tire then I hit 3rd and I pull about a car I hit fourth and kept pulling little by little and then I shut down at 130MPH. I've never raced an evo that fast before. Pretty fast car...I talked to him after the race at a stop light and he said it wasn't stock, but light turned green so we went on our way

Yeah I imagine he only had the basic bolt ons. Ive ran a few SS's, WS6's etc and they have a hard time with my Evo. Good run though, but watch out for some of them, a lot of Evo owners are switching to GT35R turbos making 500+whp on relatively low boost.

I want a EVO... but you can get into a STI for cheaper... sooo.. lol... if i dont buy a LS1.... and sti is going to be the route to go... but that is after i get my 750+ rwhp on my LT1... got to keep the LS1's in check

I cant wait for that. The new car looks to be much more suited to what its intendedfor. More aerodynamic, more balanced. Makes sense when you think about it, the basic layout and chassis now is still a FWD design, and thats a handicap. With a specific chassis, things should be very very interesting.
