Default raced another 24 psi eclipse

a kid i know got a gsx over the winter i guess, these things are everywhere in my town, said he is running 24 psi with exhaust and whatever else he has im not sure. we went from 30mph first race i gave him the hit since he honked but was about a fender or so behind me and he jumped on me about half a car then i pulled ahead about 1-2 cars then shut down at about 110. second was an even start and i beat him by 2-3 cars shut down about 110. then the third race, which i didnt know we were racing again, he got ahead of me and i was slowing down to get behind him but he started to honk and took off so i chased him and finally pulled ahead a bit before shutting down. now i just want a rematch with the other one

Was this on a stock turbo? Stock turbos are sorry as hell past anything like 18 probably, atleast it is on an SRT4. Pushing hot air and not making anymore power is what it will do past that.

not sure if it was stock or not. would a stock turbo even go that high in boost?

Well unless he was running race gas he was probably pulling timing and knocking like crazy. Not only that but he would be way out of the efficiency range of his turbo.

Knowing the psi without knowing the turbo doesn't help much. 18psi on a 16g isn't the same as 18psi on a gt35.

Also he might be hitting 24psi but like the EVO it's more then likely a spike that tappers down alot.

In any case.. Nice Kill(s). Yeah after the 2nd run I see no need for a 3rd. But it's fun anyways.

I hate reading these "He was running 69785478 PSI" threads without knowing what the turbo is. I mean how do we know if this is an accomplishment or not? If he is somehow running 24 PSI on a 14b or 16g, then the kid is an idiot and the car can't be but fast. Now if this on a T-67 or something pretty nice in size, then thats awesome. But how do you react when you have no idea how fast this car can be?

Well, what do you expect for the average LS1 owner posting a kill on this forum? We're lucky to even know it was the GSX model.

True, and after reading that grammar from the original poster, I shouldn't have even responded.

well looking at the thread starters sig, i gaurantee it was not a stock turbo. he's probly trapping around 114-118 just taking a guess. so that gsx must have had a decent setup.

wow bashing someone over grammer is kinda ghey. Also calling a LS1 FC an import is kinda ghey. Lets both just kiss and make up and wait for details on the turbo.

Guys it doesnt matter if hes running 10000-09098-899797 PSI

PSI has nothing to do with making power got it? Its the size of the turbo that will make the power. I run 26Psi does that mean I have a race car, or my motor is going to blow? No it doesnt, it means my turbo isnt that huge so 26psi isnt going to hurt anything.

You definitely were't joking. You were trying to discredit the author by pointing out his grammar mistakes. Please

Way to stereotype LS1 owners. I doubt many people on here could give less of a **** about POS GSX Eclipses, so I don't see what your point is.
