The easiest way to see if you will need a spacer or adapter is to measure your stock brake setup (12" LS1 rotor and caliper) and see if you have at least 1 1/4" of spoke clearance. Once you take into consideration the new rotor offset and the new caliper thickness, the conversion will stick out 1" more than stock.

Are you positive the whole set up only sticks out an extra inch?

Can someone please shed some light on my predicament?
Your right about the stock caliper moving in as the pads wear. I didn't take that into consideration when I was estimating spoke clearance. Then again it was mainly a guideline, not a super exact number. I still recommend a test fit of the parts on one side (no need to open brake lines) to see how everything fits. If it turns out you do need a spacer, you can put the stock brakes back on easily to continue driving the car.

I had ~1 3/8" clearance with my stock caliper and was just barely rubbing when I test fitted my cts-v calipers, ended up just getting the 15mm spacers listed by others. My wheel did NOT stick out an 1" more than stock, and that's why the spacer...

Like Jason mentioned, best thing to do is to test fit with your wheel and see what you need.

Peter, what kind of wheels do you have and how worn were your stock pads?

Yeah I test fitted on my 18x9.5 dd c5's and I'm gonna need a good size spacer. Might just get the 15mm cuz it's gonna b atleast .5" but closer to 1".

I would suppose you could as long as your skinnys are 18" and you have enough offset spacing.
