Anybody see a reason why these rotors won't work? It says ACDelco #177-1000 and OEM #19121787, which is the GM number for Z06 front rotors. $76 shipped, looks good to me, just wondering if anyone else has these rotors.

Does anyone have any specs as to the amount of improvement?
Like HPS pads in Fbody calipers to the same in a CTSv caliper?
Just curious how many feet this will shave off on a 60-0 baseline

It will probably only shave off about 10-15 feet in stopping distance. The 60-0 distance is not where the real improvement lies, its in the consistancy of the stopping distance, pedal effort, pedal feel, and high speed stopping ability.

On the street, you might not notice a huge difference. But with repeated stops or stops from triple digit speeds, the difference between the stock brakes with HPS pads and the 14" CTS-V setup are immense, its a phenominal improvement.

If you plan on ever tracking your car, you'd be hard pressed to find better setup, especially for the price.

ok i have a question, i am gonna be selling my old C6 Z06 17x9.5" wheels to my brother and getting the same style wheels but in 18x8.5 up front and 18x10.5" in the rear. my question is that i have fitted these brakes up front (grinded the hell out of a test caliper to see if they would fit) and i required a 15mm spacer up front with about a 3/16" to spare after the wheel was bolted on.

now my question is that my old wheels have the stock 56mm offset, if i go with a 41mm offset front and rear, will the different offset actually give me 15mm more of spoke clearance, or just put the wheel out that much more. cause i am hoping to do this mod without spacers, and i know a 56mm wheel with a 15mm spacer (makin backspacing 41mm) will clear the brakes. any input will help.

Well the issue is that the clearance changes depending on wheel width...so my 9.5" wheels with a 56mm offset there is 64.65mm of clearance between the outer edge of the wheel and the wheel mounting flange. With my 15mm spacer (41mm offset), there is now 79.65 between the wheel mounting flange and the outer edge of the wheel.

With your 8.5" width and a 56mm offset, you'd have 51.95mm from the wheel flange to the outer edge. With your 8.5" wheels and a 41mm offset, you'd have 66.95mm from wheel flange to outer edge. So you'd still be coming up about 14mm short; this is due solely to the difference in width.

To clear the brakes with those wheels, you would need at least a 28mm offset or less by my calculations.

ok, so the 18x8.5 wheels come with a 46mm offset, would i be good with a 15mm spacer, and it still clear the wheels? also would these wheels stick out any further then a 17x9.5" wheel with a 56mm offset and a 15mm spacer?

Reading through most of this thread, I think we (at least me) would agree that most rear brake swaps are poser, and admittedly that's all I want to go along with the CTS-V front swap- inside a C6 19" rear wheel, my stock LT1 disc looks ridiculously small.

Why can't/wouldn't it work to use a C5 rotor with the stock LT1 caliper, but with a mounting bracket that simply relocates the LT1 caliper to the proper location on the C5 rotor? The LT1 caliper would stop a little better on the larger rotor, but it would be mostly for the looks rather than the stopping power.

Plus, for me with an LT1 car, I'd retain my stock parking brake, and I do want to keep that with a 6-speed car. I suppose if you have an LS1 rear and want to do this, you could also put the LT1 caliper on it and retain a parking brake that way to get around trying to work that internal drum parking brake thing into a rear brake swap.

Does anyone have a C5 rotor laying around as well as an LT1 rear rotor they could compare? If the centerlines are the same or close, it would be a really quick and easy swap that would look nice.

just go to autozone and ask for both of them then measure and compare them that way, you can also buy one and test fit it, as long as it does not have one full rotation of pad wear on it, then it is returnable.

Awesome! Where did you find those? I was actually wondering about using the C5 front rotors on the LT1 rear, but if I had a resource to look through specs like those maybe I could find something else that would fit the LT1 caliper.

I go to rockauto and look for brake rotors for the vehicle i am trying to get information on. I look for the centric brand and the little preview image is what you see above with all the specs. You can also go to the centric parts website and use their vehicle lookup

Can someone help me out here...
I was searching for the calipers, and couldn't find any difinitive part numbers. A quick search on Amazon for cts-v calipers resulted a lot of different items.

Is this for driver's or passenger side? There's so much info on here, and I've searched, and couldn't find a simple breakdown of parts needed with part numbers.
