Cool. Thanks for the link. I'm going to pick up a pair just to test fit to see if my CCW's will clear it. Supposedly they will as they are for a G8 which came with the Brembo's from the factory, so we'll see.

That is a good price compared to partstaxi...

Is that the left or right side? It doesn't say?

Looking at that, I'm guessing you swap the bleeder screws for the cross-over and that converts it left to right.

04-07 had 4 piston brembo's, and the 2nd gen cts-v's were the ones with the 6 piston ones.

Tha would allow you to bleed it properly, but your brake hose fitting would still be facing the wrong direction. I suppose it would still work just fine though.

I see what you're saying, and maybe someone has a picture of the backside of the caliper they can share, but it looks like they are a mirror image top to bottom, including where the brake line goes in to the caliper. See the blue item in the hole, I'm wondering if you just move that one side to the other depending on which side of the car it goes on.

Again, if someone has a picture of the backside of the calipers that would help. Mine will be here this afternoon and I will take pictures to help clear up some confusion. It would make sense from a cost standpoint to make just one caliper that would work on either side as opposed to having to manufacture two different, side specific peices. It's kind of like our cylinder heads and gaskets, there is no left or right one.

Well, I figured out that there is a definite difference between left and right. So I checked Amazon and the correct pair is parts # 172-2287 and 172-2288. The problem is the picture they have for 172-2287 is what looks like a gasket set to a transmission pan and filter, hence why I didn't buy it.

So I talked to Amazon help desk, and explained it to them, and they agreed it was a misleading item description, so they authorized a paid return of one of the calipers, and I proceeded to buy the matching one, which is actually $25 less than the other one for some odd reason.

So I got both calipers to my door for a total of $227.93, and since their wharehouse/distribution center is in Delaware, and I'm in Pennsylvania, it'll be to my door by Monday.

Well crap, since it was posted that amazon had them in stock they have since gone out of stock. I didn't jump on it fast enough.

I got lucky and jumped on them instantly considering they were so much cheaper than anywhere else. I haven't even thought about what rotors I'm going to run or pads, but I knew that they wouldn't be around for long.

I noticed the same thing so I was a little weary about ordering it, but then I said f-it and I just ordered it because it does have the right part number.

I picked up the last 172-2288 that amazon had for $126 they had another one for $160 but it did not last long either.

after looking more at the yellow calipers that are shown. if u look at the mounting bracket its actually different on each side. so you would still need a left and right one, switching the screws wouldnt work. i'm wondering if theyre just using the same picture for both left and right.

Where is everyone getting their stainless brake lines from for this swap?

I tried looking through the threads but I might have overlooked it...
