I'm a little unsure of what vats exactly is? and if i remove the egr, is there a blockoff plate or plug that fills that hole in the intake?

Vehicle Anti-Theft System.
Just make a blockoff for all the holes. No big deal.

A 1 3/8 rubber frost plug works for the intake blockoff ---> egr delete link

You might also check with Eric at Turbotime.....I know they're pretty close to having a ready to go design.... I'm sure they won't part with the info, but should be able to supply a conversion pan fairly soon....Doesn't hurt to ask.....

yes i agree! but im on the short end of the stick here, i talked sat. to eric at turbo time and he said in about a month he'd be making the oil pan i need and he said it would be about 500$ also! Man, there's got to be a cheaper solution some where, but i am hoping to atleast get some dimensions so at least i can maybe find some one to build one.

Anyone ever seen what goes in to making those pans? $500 is about right. It is pricey, but it is still about right, especially if it is a sheet aluminum pan. If they try to weld up the Cast aluminum pan and just modify it, there is a whole mess of headaches there. That casting sucks, and it is so poreous, it is real tough to make the welds seal.

What did you guys use for a radiator and e-fan setup with the ls1? Would the stock 4.3l radiator be enough with a set of e-fans?

I'm using my original 1995 stock 4.3 radiator for about 4000 miles with A/C with no cooling issues whatsoever.

What fans? I see some people use flexalite 220 dual fans which is only around 2500 cfm, according to summits ads that is only good for 250hp w/out ac.So my question would be how many cfms is adequate and how many cfm's do stock ls1 fbody fans flow because they seem to fit the 4.3 radiator really well

I'm using stock 93 lt1 f-body fans (same motors as most GM electric fans I believe) that I've had on this thing ever since the 4.3. I am NOT using the shroud any more though. I took some 1/8 steel and bent it to make mounting points for the blade/motor assembly. The fans are about a 1/4 inch from the radiator face and they do not contact it in any way. Its tight but doable. The biggest problem is making sure to mount the fans so that the motor body ends up where there are no accesories. (like power steering or idler pulleys)
