well guys i talked to a gentleman at CANTON racing products, and he will custom build an oil pan for my swap for about 500$, i just need some dimensions for my swap( ARE YOU HERE WILDS?, i could really use some measurements!) or if any one else has dimensions for the oil pan to put a 5.3 into a ZR-2 please let me know! THANKS!

You might also check with Eric at Turbotime.....I know they're pretty close to having a ready to go design.... I'm sure they won't part with the info, but should be able to supply a conversion pan fairly soon....Doesn't hurt to ask.....

Anyone ever seen what goes in to making those pans? $500 is about right. It is pricey, but it is still about right, especially if it is a sheet aluminum pan. If they try to weld up the Cast aluminum pan and just modify it, there is a whole mess of headaches there. That casting sucks, and it is so poreous, it is real tough to make the welds seal.

oh so the stock f-body fans will fit with no clearance issues with the face of the motor? because i have the stock camaro fans, they just seem big, wasn't sure if they were going to fit or not.

I see some people use flexalite 220 dual fans which is only around 2500 cfm, according to summits ads that is only good for 250hp w/out ac.So my question would be how many cfms is adequate and how many cfm's do stock ls1 fbody fans flow because they seem to fit the 4.3 radiator really well
