i can do anything to deal with this, i can weld/cut metal. i have a friend of mine that knows just about anything about lsx motors. i know some but not all. this is coming from someone that put two or three lift kits on when i was like 16, i am pretty mechanically inclined. i'm not a city slicker (take no offense) that pays out the butt for stuff to be done on cars. i do pretty much everything myself. i even work on my friends cars. thanks for the support jhankinson.

my truck my time my money, i will do with it what i want..if i run into problems there is always people on here to ask. thats why i want a harness made from scratch, i don't like the idea of splicing two together. i'll agree it might be tough for it to be a first swap and i don't expect it to be done in a week. i have read this 50 pages of thread over and over and have most of the stuff undercontrol.

thats all i'm sayin on the subject cuase its takin up usable thread space.

Has anybody read the May Hot Rod? They have a few good articles one is about putting in a rack & pinion (in a Mudstain but a good source of info and companies) and a swap section GM's is based all on the LSx family they also said that Moroso and Milodon have pans for the LSx's now. Also for the diehards there is a letter answered on how to get 500hp out of a 4.3L.

There is definitely a hardline to AN adapter. Summit has them (a couple of name brands and even their own brand ones for a couple bucks less).

I'm pretty sure there is an AN to GM quick connect also available, but not sure.

Look at the bright side.

It's better that it happend now than after you put in the LS1, overheated it (by pushing all the coolant out of the motor through a busted heater core) and blew it up!

has anyone put a lsx in a first gen s-10? i have a 88 gmc s-15 (same thing) and i'm building up a stroked L92. and i'm using a explorer 8.8 rear. they fit the stock s-series leaf spring mounting locations too. the only problem is, the entire housing is 3" longer than the gm rears. but i'm putting in a 4link so it won't really matter...

I've only done a first gen heater core '91 Blazer it wasn't too bad you do it all under the dash on the pass side. the worst is you will leak some coolant (more) in the interior and the smell will last a while. Put some rad sealer in it like half a bottle after the repair the factory does it it's not a bad idea I do it to my vehicles. just get in there upside down and start taking out screws.

Buy a factory service manual. It explains every thing you'll need.
