For the guy with the std to auto pedal conversion, The dash has to come out and the aluminum bracket holding the pedal asm to the cowl must be removed. There are individual bolts for the brake and clutch that must be removed to pull the pedal off. There is no way other than pulling the dash to change them out.
thats one thing i didn't want to hear, i could of swore someone told me they done it without pullin it dash out.
also how do you think this h3 pan will work on a blazer seein they have the mount towers unlike the s10's

The h3 pan may work. However, until someone nuts up and forks over 300 bucks or so on a hunch that it may work we'll never know. Kinds like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll!! I'm not chunking 300 on a guess I went ls2 pan and carved up the crossmember.
Above said post null and void just saw pictures on s10 forum of the alpha pan in a 2wd wo any frame mods. Damm, well the ls2 pan was installed months ago before any of this stuff was even available so I can cant complain too loud it was the best available at the time.

I just ordered mine through my GM guy. IDK what it will actually cost me but i know the pan was only $119, so i would imagine i for everything it might cost me $140? im using it on a 2wd
Thats not bad considering the ls2 pan at my shop cost was almost 300 for all of the parts to make it work. On the plus side I scored me a 3:42 posi disc brake axle for 250 today so every now and then I can catch a break.
Wow i always miss out on sales. I have 2 of those rears laying in the back of my shop right now. I sell them for $200 a pop. looks like you coulda saved buyin from me, thats if you wouldnt have had to ship it.
any ideas with this pan on the blazer guys?? i'm to the point of buyin a pan now and i'm trying to make up my mind on the ls2 or the h3 pan..... so let me get some ideas on the pan fittin the blazer
Those of you that notched your cross member, what guage sheet or thickness plate did you use to box it back in? Stock cross member looks to be about 1/8".
Im thinking you would want to use thicker than what was used stock, like 3/16" or even 1/4" to help strengthen it up.

Got the 03 blazer rear in late last night. The ebrake cables fit the frame and all brackets perfectly but. I came up three inches short on the cable that runs from the pedal asm to the rear of the truck. Mine is an extended cab so it has about an 18" extension cable to make up for the cab length. Anyone have some ideas on what may be done to gain three inches of length. Or if you have done it I'm all ears. I tried the cable stretcher but no avail!!
