Ok next topic. How many kept their battery under the hood or moved it elsewhere. As much as I hate to move my battery it looks like that is the best spot for the air intake. The filter fits the battery tray perfectly. I am thinking about moving the battery to the bed in a stainless sealed box with bolts so it can't get jacked since I do not have a bed cover.

I moved mine...and YES the air filter fits SOOO nice in the battery tray. I would def move it to a box in the bed and route your intake over to the battery area. Mine works great. I am in the process of making a custom tube that goes over the a/c compressor and turns down into the battery area. But until then I have my tubing squished between the A/C and radiator getting HOTT!

Just grab the auto pedal from a local salvage yard. you do not have to change the aluminum main bracket. Just discard the clutch pedal, and manual trans brake pedal and then bolt in the auto pedal. It just has a through bolt at the top. If not I am sure some one here has gone from auto to t56 and may have changed the pedal asm out.

what exactly do you mean bolt at the top? like where at?

from what i saw it looked like the clutch and man brake pedels had a tube that went through them which they hinged on but i could be wrong though cause i didn't look that hard.

Hey rollinphat4me, are those the F-body manifolds??

If so.......is there any chance for an experiment? I am curoius how the passenger side manifold fits on the driver's side.........backwards, so it's pointing forward and down.

Reason being is the fitting for my T76, but I don't want to spend the money and find that they don't work. Is there any chance you can swap those and take a pic for me?? If not, that's cool, but it looks like you're right at the right point of the conversion to check that. I'm wondering if there is a clearance issue with the steering shaft.

Or anyone for that matter....but I am running the AWD, so the 4x4 setup is where I'm curious. If anyone also has the Sanderson shorty headers........maybe a pic of that too?? The passenger side of that looks like it hugs the block rather well.

Thanks all.........I love this thread.

On the driver's side, it would point right into the steering gearbox.

this should help:

This is an older pic, but it shows the relationship of the steering box. My truck is a 4x4 Autotrac.

Yeah, but enough to cut the end off and put a bend / v-band flange on? I'd really like to not have to make a driver's side from scratch if I dont' have to.

Thanks for the pics!
