Good news. I need to order the rears soon. What did you do with the fronts for the added power, not that I can really compare anything. I went with the long/heavy nose version of the double adjustable, guy from Afco reccommended the big gun ones for the rear, whatever that is.

Sounds like the same thing that I have for the front (couldn't remember the afco code), and the same rears that I was told to get.

Good info.

got the hood mounted...still need to tweak some of the dzus brackets some but its pretty close.

I cheated and did 8 90* angle brackets that are riveted to the fenders. they are visible with the hood on, but they will be painted body color so they shouldn't be "that" bad...did make for easy panel alignment using them though...just push the fender tight against the hood and turn the dzus...

headlight covers are just sitting on the car so they aren't by any means aligned...

still have 8 more to put on...one on each "extended cowl" area, two on the raised cowl to keep the hood off the windshield (need to build some supports) and four along the front...

I didn't take that picture...but I'm using these mounts I bought from jegs:

I had to notch the fender "lip" around them and riveted them directly to the fenders. You can see where I cut the "lip" in the 4th picture in post 644.

As long as it holds no worries.
Is that 14lbs all rotating mass?

messed around with the rebuilt afcos last night (mocking up the new rear)...that new valving is TIGHT. Even on full soft, it took quite a bit of force to compress the shock

You have the Big Gun with our valving in it. The front is totally different since its the older shocks.

Those axles are pretty pimp. I made the same mistake a years when I got a pair of QA1s. I pulled one right out of the box and pulled the shaft out of a shock with it set on full hard. I ended up putting a rag over it, leaning it against the wall, and shoving it back in there.
