did, valvesprings, cam, timing gear, front cover, oil pan, headers, pulled two broken bolts, installed water pump, crank, truck tensioner, and corvette alternator bracket, threw it all in, and it clears the turbo kit barely, i made my own belt with some zip tie and drill help to get the size for tomorrow. everything is good, motor fires and sounds good, there is a strange noise of something like a pulley squeal i have to find, other than that its good. wewt.

hopefully tomorrow i can see how much better this 5.3 lights this gt45

i can feel the extra cubes lots more tq down low, it tossed the belt with the truck idler, i should have known better it was slightly off on the bottom, so i bought a corvette idler and i have a 75 inch belt, and ill probably swap to a 74.5 inch as it seems a tiny bit loose

that means i drove the car around a bunch today. everything seems good cept for that sqeak, wich is funny it goes away when i get on the gas, and when i leave off it sqeaks like a bitch

Can't really tell where the noise is coming from in the video, could the timing chain be rubbing on the back side of the oil pump? Dont know if you are running a double chain.

is the engine vented, the tube on the pass valve cover breather?

i had a 5.3 do that type of noise one time when i had the vent tube on the pass valve cover plugged, the pcv sucked vacuum into the sealed engine and the noise of air sucking past the rear main seal made that same noise

Have you tried pulling the belt and starting the car to see if the noise goes away?

Cracked flexplate, usually around the crank bolts. Sometimes not very obvious. If it is, it should change pitch or go quiet when going from P to R to N to D etc. Goodluck. Looking forward to the 80mm set up
