It really depends on the rest of the combo and what you are doing with the car. If you are planning on putting some nitrous on the car, a 4400 is too big. You would need to go a little smaller on the converter b/c it will flash higher on the bottle. If you are driving the car daily, a real high converter might not be what you want either. Just depends how you want the car to drive. That's why I put 3500 minimum. It needs that much to really make the car drive well and work with the cam.

Not really following your response either. My point was jons rebuttal was that something would run out of gear bc of a 4k stall which has me scratching my head. However, since I know they are some pretty knowledgeable guys at TSP I asked for a clarification of what exactly he was saying. Putting a cam like this with a small stall like a 3200 or something is a good way to get your *** handed to you by a smaller cam/bigger converter car A 4k stall is not that big in all honesty, and with this kind of cam selection who gives a **** about a few extra rpm of stall speed.

Depending on his gearing and amount of horse power he may or may not be making, a few hundred RPM of stall speed could make the difference in whether he will cross the line at 6800 RPM or 7200 RPM. if he makes peak power at 6500 he doesn't wanna cross the traps at 7200. If he is spraying the ratio of engine RPM to wheel speed will be farther apart then if he is running N/A. A 150 shot off the line will make a 3600 converter flash to possibly 4000, and a 4000 converter flash to possibly 4400 and so on. The way his car is geared and his power adders, (if he is using any) are part of the equation. He wants to cross the finish line at point in his power band where he is making peak power. If his stall is to big and he uses nitrous it may reach his peak power point 80-120 feet prior to the finish line which means he gonna result with slower E.T.'s running a 4000-4400as opposed to a 36-3800 converter...
