Look at the IVC difference between your cam and mine. 8 degrees!!! This is why duration figures never tell the whole story and why I always preach about not speaking in general terms when it comes to camshafts.

Even though your cam seems "middle of the road" in duration size, would you believe me if I told you my LS3 Stage 3 Polluter camshaft, our biggest and nastiest flagship cam has the same IVC event your 231/239 cam does? This will mean that our larger 235/246 112lsa cam will peak at the same RPM your cam does and make damn near identical torque under the curve, but with it's added overlap will pull much harder up top.

Again it's about combining valve events that the combination needs.

That 223/234 111+4 cam will give you back all of your low end AND some along with not neutering the car past 6000rpm. The 223/234 cam will be best shifted at 6600rpm and torque should peak around 4600-4800rpm.

Very very nice numbers for a LS6 intake and a S60! I think Stroked383's set-up has some more in it after seeing these numbers. I think his heads are holding him back, but there is really no point in spending 1000+ bucks on 243's and porting them for 20-30rwhp when he has nitrous now.

Can't wait to see what it runs in the 1/8th now if it went 7.85 before with bolt ons and 100rwhp/60rwtq less!

Yeah, I blew it big time, what can I say haha. Here was my thought process if it gives you any idea..

I had a 224/230 cam prior..

"Man, this 224/230 cam lopes hard anyway, may as well go bigger!". So I just selected a cam at random pretty much.

I knew immediately when I hit the throttle I made a mistake. I would bet it made less power everywhere than my old cam, probably even peak too.

85mm MAF, Fast 92mm combo, 42lb injectors, SNS 2 cam, Kooks 1 7/8" headers, 3" y pipe empty cats through slp lm1 and 2 chamber spintech, yank ss3800, 2.73 rear

358.9 hp 327.2 tq

Putting off compression test for now. I just heard from speedinc something with their dyno brake was dragging and is getting fixed. Car will go back next week to see if anything changes.

dont know the timing but was told he can only throw so much at it.

13.0 AFR is too lean. 12.4 to 12.6 makes the best power, assuming the wideband is accurate.

Martin, my ride will be dyno'd this month; just waiting for two places to get back with me regarding how soon they can get me in. Whichever can get me in first, that's where I'm going. It's been killing me waiting this long.

I think I can be right there with b0b, if not higher. Our mods are pretty much the same, minus my stock 10 bolt.

I agree. Converter could of been unlocked. Normally 20-40rwhp can be gained along with torque by locking the converter.

Agreed. We see best power at 12.4-12.8. Our dyno's wide band is always .5-1.0 leaner than the wide band we use to tune with.

Most all dyno wide bands read like this from what I have seen, but I'm sure there are some or a lot that don't. I feel it's all where it's positioned in the exhaust.

I think you'll hit at least 430/400. That said, I think you'll be closer to 440/410-450/420.

The converter locks up at 45mph on the street. Wouldn't it of locked up on the dyno? I will ask them to check. Anything else I should ask besides afr and timing?

Either the motor is tired but its not burning oil. Or maybe comp ground the cam wrong. It wasn't measured. They really didn't have a answer. None of the parts are junk and there isnt a Flowmaster on the car. He thought it would make 20 more horse but it didn't.

Total timing is 29*

Converter was locked.

So why didnt the car make more power?

might want to try 25-26* and 12.5-12.7 afr
