When come to find out the LSx Engines were the only ones that had aftermarket blocks and heads....

poor example. the stock blocks on the mod motors were [U]extensively[U] modified. not something you just go buy and likely more expensive than an aftermarket lsx block.

Where is your proof that they were extensively modified and that they are "likely" more expensive from? Hio tried that **** and he backpedaled when i asked him these questions and told me to "Look it up on my own" I figured since he had the info readily available and threw it out there as it was fact he would want to throw it in my face..

it said right in the article that they had to extensively modify the block to meet the CI requirements.

This is pure gold to me. HiO mentions all the time how he likes to tinker with his **** and modify his own stuff, which is respectable BTW. Since mods are done to a mod motor, though, it requires the word "extensively" to be underlined as if it's illegitimate. Don't mention cost, we're talking about if it's aftermarket or not.

Basically, you're sidestepping the point that HiO was wrong. That's cute.

Edit: The mods they had to do were in order to meet the requirement, they were bore-limited so they had to modify the factory block to handle the stroke they needed to run to get to 400+ ci.

Which I said and wondered where you got the info on the price comparison not about how it had to be modified. You said its Likely more expensive and thats the info I want to see this is the 2nd person to say that and not deliver any type of information about it

do you have any clue what labour costs?

and who knows how extensively they had to modify it. a little rod notching in the bore doesn't take much. but if they had to go beyond that then it would be an unreal amounf of work.

Not disagreeing, but if I spend 3029489023 hours and 3 million dollars on the factory block, it's still not an aftermarket block.
