My GT500 setup is hydraulic self bleeding. Not sure I like the self bleeding part though.. if it doesn't do what it is supposed to and air stays in you have big issues.

Yeah that was a fail on my part..you guys switched over to hydraulics around the 03+ years on the Cobra and then the GT switched as well right?. Wasn't thinking about that... Self bleeding.. that sounds nice... I need to get a remote bleeder for mine unless that's an upgrade I can get. I hate bleeding the damn thing.

Depends on if he did the drill mod wouldn't it? I know the pressure plate causes headaches but in stock form I had issues with power shifting until I did the drill mod... it just wouldn't engage fast enough for me.

I've drove lots of mustang over the years. I've also seen friends have problems with them. Not to mention my own termi notch clutch feels like ****. Shifts like **** to.

I never noticed any difference with the still mod. It's a pp problem for the most part.

I could say the same about the 2 other m6 f-body's I have had. Both with 130+k on them. Stock either is fine. The f-body's lack some feel the mustangs have to much effort.

Once modded it's hydraulic all the way. You can keep decent pedal effort, better feel and more reliable.

i'm just gonna leave this here.

Its completely subjective. Everyone you ask will give you a different answer on which they prefer. Either is fine up to a point, then they both pretty much suck until built right.

Well not really....but kinda. IDK what it takes to do a cable right. The real problem begins with modding the cable to use on good clutches. I guess most people just buy what fits. I usually don't. When I do I usually mod it to work how I want. Now with that said your never gonna run a clutch like I have in my Camaro off a cable. Pedal effort would be ridiculous, pedal effort in the notch with a lightened spec clutch is ridiculous now.

I wish I woulda put a blow proof on the notch while it was apart. With these couple of recent spec failures on here it makes me nervous for my legs.

I might as well leave this here too. Still working on the details.

I know. Are you saying that ford went backwards???

Hydraulics are pretty bullet proof once you sort them out for the mods. Just better all around.

I'm not really a Ford hater as far as their cars go. I have not been in their new trucks but their older trucks were poop, I did hate them....anything pre- ecoboost/5.0/6.2. I just know the differences in the 2 makes. When I see bs on here I call it......the Ford guys don't like it.

Just like Stoppy thinking a cable is better than hydraulic....he don't have a clue. Heater may not have a clue on that either.

Just wait till my Ford outruns theirs....that really gonna make ya'lls head spin.....lmao So MachX......Do you think I'll here all the **** about motor swap, light clutch....blah blah blah blah when that happens?

Now you see where the haters are? If you noticed they have never said **** about this swap yet.

They also tossed a linkage into the mix, which robs a lot of the accuracy. I like a cable personally, just feels more in contact with the car. Thats jmo, doesn't mean one is better than the other.

Like I said, I'm not saying one is better. Just that some people like the feel of one over the other. For anything under a mid to high 11 second car, both are going to need to be sorted out. But for your typical run of the mill mid 12 to 13 second car, it really just comes down to personal preference. Getting into built trans is an entirely different subject.

Linkage on the 05+ Mustangs? Maybe on the SHIFTER, but not the clutch.
