Honestly, this is extremely frustrating. If your having that many issues please return them, and I will give you a full refund. If anyone else is having issues besides the tip of the collector angle please contact me. I think the most frustrating part is that we have sold over 300 sets of these with all but one singe return for fitment, which were sent back to the customer to use again. That has to say something about the quality control of these headers.

Sean

Never said anything about having the factory make a change? third paragraph down of this post.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/18247630-post402.html

Frustrating for you? You didn't have to install them. And 300 set's sold? i was a pre order and had them installed with in 2 days of recieving them. Maybe most aren't installed yet? Time will tell as others post, maybe i got a **** set? anythings possible. As i said i'm making them work, if you get a fixed drivers side, i'd love to try one.

RGSS: Thank you for your order. They will go out today.

blacktransam: I thought you were referencing the K-Member. The collectors have always been that way. Like I was saying before we never saw any issues with the collector for a long time after we started selling these, and have still only seen the issue on a few cars. Its never been a concern to us until recently. With that being said we only moved the tip of the collector down around 3/8", it still wont compensate for vehicles with tweaked chassis/larger motor mounts etc. For most of the vehicles there should be more than enough clearance however.

Thanks
Sean

They should connect just fine. We have never tried it here, but a few customers said they worked.

Thanks

I'd rather add Magnaflow cat's to a ORY that way I know the quality of the cats being used. Maybe I'm just paranoid after seeing a friends Jet Hot cat that was completely hollow after less than 5k miles, but I wouldn't want to use no name chinese cats.

Nope, we plan to adjust it straight on future batches, but it still wont solve the issue some have with chassis clearance. Its a common issue with most aftermarket longtube headers and the F-Bodies. We have heard of a handful of guys that have the issue. It is usually due to a mildly tweaked chassis or different motor/trans mounts etc. I believe Mufflex even makes a bracket specifically for the issue. Unfortunately, we cannot drop the longtubes any more than they are for the lowered guys. Found the link to the Mufflex kit:

Thanks

I think most people find the banging or hitting to be a non-issue once new engine mounts are installed.

mikh338: Nice talking with you. If you have any other questions just let me know.

The Alchemist: Nope, looks like a fun event though. Unfortunately, it would be a 31 hour drive for us.

Some of you guys would **** if you saw what I had to do to make my Doug's Chevelle LS swap headers fit. And they were over $600 and ceramic coated so now they look like ****.

I might try to get some of these 1 7/8" and heat and flex them to fit my car at some point.

I was wondering if someone could help me out on this. I'm trying to figure out the length of the headers from top to bottom for ground clearance in a swap application.

I'm looking for the 1-7/8" longtubes, I did a quick sketch in MS paint. I hope it uploads. Looking for length from top to bottom as shown with the blue line.

Thanks

Here you go. This is the drivers side header specs. Passenger side is about 1/2" less.

Thanks

Thank you very much, right around what I was hoping for. I'm pretty sure they won't hang down much below the subframe on my 2nd gen Firebird. I'll more than likely be ordering a set soon.
